I just expected something not nothing
I didn’t expect to wake up a slim sexy lady but I expected something x

Thats my point. To expect something from 2.5mg is to set yourself up for disappointment.

I didn’t say you expected to be slim the next day. Your expectations are still too high.

It’s entirely normal for people to not feel anything on 2.5mg. As it has a half life of 5 days, it takes some people - while until they have had several dose. Some people longer.

The problem is that your view of ‘I should feel something’ is what leads people to take doses closer together, or try and up their dose to early. And quite often that leads to horrific side effects.

I advised to manage your expectations, because although you didn’t expect to wake up slim, your expectations of anything happening at this point is too high.

It took me a few months before the weight really started coming off. I know how you feel because when you are reading about so many people losing a lot on 2.5mg it's natural to expect the same. Lots of people say the suppression happens immediately as well but I wasn't one of those despite getting side effects. It's early days yet but give it a few months before you decide if it's working or not, I came close to quitting but now I'm glad I didn't and I realise I'm not one of those people who's going to lose a lot quickly but I'm okay with that.

How are you getting on, @Mummysaf?

Peridot1 · 11/10/2024 13:23

The other thing is that appetite suppression isn’t the only thing that can change. I’m three weeks in on 2.5 and have gained weight. I wasn’t expecting any change on 2.5 as I was on Ozempic and Wegovy previously and I stopped Wegovy six weeks ago so I was pretty sure I wouldn’t see any change on 2.5. Now three weeks in I’ve noticed the last couple of days that I’m finding it easier to make healthier choices with regard to food and my appetite does seem to have reduced a little.

So look out for subtle changes. Like not craving sugar or carbs for instance.

AmeliaEarache · 11/10/2024 13:28

You’re rather unrealistic, if you’ve read the leaflets. The one in my 2.5mg pen is pretty clear that you may well not feel much if anything, and that’s normal.

You’re certainly expecting to feel something more quickly than is generally the case, judging by the many threads here.

MJ is a long road, not a sprint. Until
you are on the 5mg therapeutic dose in 4 weeks time, any weight loss is a bonus.

But why did you expect something?
if you have researched you’d know that some people don’t feel anything and the dose is to get your body used to it,
it’s also cumulative so I suspect you will feel a difference with the next dose but don’t panic if you don’t. Give it time

Why do people keep repeating the same as what others have said.
bizarre.

Because they are answering you. Join the October group and fret here.

Hi, have you had any success yet? I'm on day 4 of my first dose, feel nothing yet either. Trying to be patient.
