Just seeing if there is interest in starting a chat to share progress.
I did my first injection on 24th September.

SW 14.12
CW 14
Height 5.7
Not sure about GW just yet, I'm thinking 11 stone.
Anyone else want to join and share progress?
I'm two days away from my third injection and so far symptoms have included suppression and slight tiredness.
Looking forward to this journey though, feeling super positive!

I've developed gallbladder pain and been told to stop Mounjaro, even with a clear ultrasound (they don't always pick up everything).

@TryingAgainAgainAgain hope you okay hope it wasn’t too painful.
Must be a bit disappointing if you had to stop. Had you been on me a while ?
what dose were you on ? Have you had gallbladder issues previously ?

DollyPop100 · 07/11/2024 13:51

@Inthetww
how are you doing now ?

Floofypuppy · 07/11/2024 13:59

Woo hoo. Just had a loss whoosh and now 1st 4lbs down. Started 25th Sep so 6 weeks. Not bad!

wearing a dress today that had gotten too tight!

TryingAgainAgainAgain · 07/11/2024 14:01

Yes, very disappointing, @DollyPop100. I had some upper right abdominal pain the week I first ordered Mounjaro. Would have ignored it normally but wanted to be sure as I was about to start the jabs. GP ordered blood tests which suggested pancreas OK and I got a private ultrasound which was all clear so I went ahead.

Four doses in I got the pain again, had a one-off appointment with Dr Online with a GP who does lots of Mounjaro prescribing and follow-ups. He was pretty sure it was gallbladder and said they are seeing a lot of GB issues on MJ. Advised me to stop MJ and get a surgical consultation.

The pain isn't severe at all, and I don't want it removed unless unavoidable, so I am reading about how to save your GB, eating lots of beans and other sources of soluble fibre in, plus looking at supplements.

you sure it’s not just constipation? That’s exactly where I feel it.

Very sure.

Thanks everyone.
Sorry to hear a few of you are having side effects too.
I'm worried about it to be honest. I really don't want to stop as it is working well otherwise but I've been so poorly it's been unbearable.
I do think I'm going to go back to 2.5 and see if I still feel ill.
Genuinely thought I needed to go to A and E a few times this week.
Some great losses too, well done everyone. Hopefully it's just a blip and all will return to normal.

Hope you getting there now @Inthetww
are you any better ?
I started with very bad diarrhoea on Friday evening and been like that since, settled a bit more now. It followed a very rich fatty meal which haven’t been eating then a night of alcohol and I didn’t even take my dose on Friday as was going to take it Sunday instead.
I have a 5 mg pen to start was going to continue on 3.75 but feel like not even going to take that.
know it not as bad as what you have experienced but feel like this has put me off a bit but I suppose most people have some side effects and in been fortunate not to not sure if it was the meal or the alcohol really strange as not had the last dose since last Sunday.

Did you tell the doctor who diagnosed you with a possible infected gallbladder that you are taking Mounjaro?

You can have a consultation with Dr Online about any issues when on MJ here: dronline.uk/weight-loss-advice-video-appointment/

I'm very wary of commercial medical services like this, but it was very helpful, thorough and sensible.

But obviously don't delay going to A&E if needed.

Ignoring ongoing worrying symptoms is setting yourself up to risk serious illness. If you have gallbladder issues then as far as I'm aware there is no safe dose.

DollyPop100 · 12/11/2024 15:03

Hope you okay.
I have had diarrhoea since Friday now so think once better not sure about starting the other pen as not had dose for a well but think some said it builds up in system

Inthetww · 22/12/2024 10:00

Hi everyone. Sorry I went quiet, I was poorly for a while but am a million times better today and weighed in this morning to hit my 3st loss. I'm absolutely made up!
I have stuck with 5 as I wasn't sure if upping the dose caused me to be ill or if it was bad timing. I went to the Dr this week who confirmed and logged my weight loss. It feels nice to be nearer my goal. I'm so glad I stuck it out. I'm 7lbs away from being in the normal bmi range which is incredible. For once I'm feeling confident in my skin this Christmas. I hope you are all well. How is everyone getting on? I hope you all have the best Christmas 🎄

It's been a great journey for me. Glad yours has too. I stuck with microdosing tiny amounts which enabled me to lose small amounts gently and I feel it helps as well with my addictive personality somehow. I am really happy with my current weight, which is 24 bmi, don't want to lose any more as I'd lose my boobs completely I think 😅

Have a wonderful Christmas feeling great in your own skin xxx

TryingAgainAgainAgain · 22/12/2024 11:17

That's amazing, @Inthetww.

Did you turn out to have a gallbladder problem? Suspected GB pain has ended my Mounjaro use and I'm devastated.

DollyPop100 · 22/12/2024 12:44

@Inthetww @PeachyKeane well done on your wonderful achievements and feeling confident and good about yourselves !
I had one month off and am now back on 2.5 and up to date have lost 2 stone. Have been shopping for clothes recently and it has been a joy !
I think I am going to finish this pen as aiming for another 5 pounds off which will take me 1 stone over BMI ( I know BMI not 100% and other things to take into consideration) I have lost quite a lot on my face and think would be happy with under the next stone just to keep me on track. When I had the month off I did get bit of cravings back but nowhere near as bad and I am eating so healthy now with smaller treats and very active. I feel it has given me and confidence and life back tbh.
@TryingAgainAgainAgain that is disappointing but you did the right thing and might have avoided now having to have it out. In time more evidence might come out and more products that might be suitable for you ?

Inthetww · 22/12/2024 12:45

All scans and tests show gall bladder is fine, could be digestive issues, awaiting referrals. Oh no that is devastating, how long were you on it?
