Just seeing if there is interest in starting a chat to share progress.
I did my first injection on 24th September.

SW 14.12
CW 14
Height 5.7
Not sure about GW just yet, I'm thinking 11 stone.
Anyone else want to join and share progress?
I'm two days away from my third injection and so far symptoms have included suppression and slight tiredness.
Looking forward to this journey though, feeling super positive!

There’s an Oct starters thread that is well established

Inthetww · 06/10/2024 20:29

I know, thank you, I've read threads but like you say they are established. I've been lurking for ages and wondered if anyone else is in the same boat. It's new posting for me and my first time on weight loss medication

@Inthetww hello, started 7th Sept was in a group but people stopped commenting so would be very happy to share progress etc.
sounds like you doing really well and it is great to get support, tips etc
sw 14.1
cw 12.12
had 5th dose Sat ( bonus dose so around 3mg but decided to remain on 2.5 for next pen as the indigestion was main side effect which seems to have subsided now and still getting suppression and happy if just lose 1-2 lbs week. Others on here have stayed on 2.5 and seemed to have done ok.
how are things going for you ? I am struggling to get over 900 cals daily, some days I get to 1200 but not often so trying to eat fruit and protein.
GW 10.9 as that will be healthy BMI for me.

Inthetww · 07/10/2024 06:29

@TheCatterall is it working for you? Are the scales moving at all? It's a really exciting process.
@DollyPop100 I've just received my new pen but went for the 5. I'm a little nervous but my thoughts were that I can reduce on that pen if it's too strong. I get good results so far on the 2.5. Oh my goodness you've lost a lot! How are you feeling?

Hi @TheCatterall yes understand getting the higher dose as many do and it works for them and like you say lots of info on here how to have half doses from the pen.
feeling great but it has definitely slowed down last 2 weeks as only lost 2lbs over last 2 weeks. My next pen is 2.5 so going to see how I get on might up the doses if needed. However I am eating healthy food and not craving rubbish so trying to accept slow and steady now as feel am getting into good habits and trying to keep up activity etc so don’t want to increase the suppression of I am honest. Not craved any junk but really fancied chocolate on Sat had a bar and felt satisfied and no need to continue or binge. I am eating like a thin person !
how are you getting on ?

Inthetww · 07/10/2024 16:57

That's great! I haven't fancied chocolate yet. It's so weird thinking like a skinny person. Just need my body to catch up.
Injection and weigh in tomorrow so will post my (hopefully) progress,

Good luck for tomorrow!

Inthetww · 08/10/2024 15:02

I weighed this morning and 13.12 I'm shocked! That's a stone in two weeks! So nice to see a different number on the scales.
3rd injection done. Hoping I get the same effects this week.

What is a typical day you are eating ? Looking for inspiration !

rosesl · 08/10/2024 21:01

Hi do you mind if I join you for a bit of motivation. I started Sunday so haven't weighed myself yet but I'm 13 stone 6 starting weight. Hoping to lose 3 stone

DollyPop100 · 08/10/2024 22:01

Hi @rosesl let us know how you get on , how you finding first few days ?
I had indigestion after few weeks but seems to have subsided now.
I am still finding 2.5 is working for me take my first jab of second pen Friday so hoping can manage on this dose for long as possible .

Ilovegoodison · 08/10/2024 22:39

@Inthetww - I am also 5ft 7 and my SW was also 14 st 12lb! I took my first jab on 10 Sept so am a couple of weeks ahead of you. When I last weighed almost a week ago I was 13st 9lbs, so a 17lb loss. I am away at the moment so won't be weighing again for another week.
I have finished my first pen and have stayed on 2.5mg for my second pen , as at the point of ordering I had really good suppression, had good weight loss and minimal side effects. However, over the past 3-4 days I've found suppression has really waned and food noise has returned and I am really relying on willlpower! Think I should have moved up to 5mg and will be for my next pen. You've had a great loss in your first 2 weeks- well done!

rosesl · 09/10/2024 05:54

@DollyPop100 thank you.
I've been okay the first few days, I have had some funny dreams and haven't slept great and felt a bit sick on a morning but been eating around 1200 calories a day and not been overly hungry but still had some hunger.
How are you getting on?

DollyPop100 · 09/10/2024 08:37

@rosesl heard others post about funny dreams, I didn’t sleep great at first but fine now. sounds like you got the balance right with your calories and still want to eat.
I don’t want to starve myself as think
it more important to get into better habits.

Inthetww · 09/10/2024 11:48

Hey everyone! Welcome!
@Ilovegoodison wow that's a great loss and we are the same! Love that! Where have you gone away to?
@rosesl yes definitely! I feel queasy this morning, 3rd jab yesterday
@DollyPop100 I've reduced my portions dramatically! Only eating until full. Fasting 16:8 most days and eating much healthier than before.
Is it weigh in day and injection day for you?
Keep updating results it's so much more motivating knowing we are on the same journey.
It WILL work for us!!

@Inthetww yes great if we can motivate each other and share experiences/tips.
sounds like you doing great.
I feel I have to force myself to eat at times but making healthier choices.
weigh in Fri for me, started on a Saturday initially but full house and busy Saturdays so changed to Friday which I find suit me better and weigh Fri morning. Only weigh once weekly otherwise I get scale obsessed!
yes it will !

Witchyandtwitchy · 10/10/2024 09:01

Morning, can I join you?
I also started 24th September.
SW 16st
CW 15.7

I lost 7lb in the first week, nothing in the 2nd week (in fact I put on 1lb!)
Weighing every day as I find it keeps me on track. So far after my 3rd dose on Monday I’m still stuck at 15.7! Just keep going up and down by half a pound or so.

What am I doing wrong?
Eating a small breakfast/brunch of Faye yogurt with fruit, seeds nuts and some kefir.
Often don’t feel like lunch. Then a small low carb dinner which I usually can’t finish.
Drinking about 3 pints of water a day, is that enough?
Getting worried and frustrated!

Witchyandtwitchy · 10/10/2024 09:04

I did have my first period in 5mnths after being on it for 2wks. (Menopause)
I wonder if that had an effect? Strange the scales still won’t budge over a week later.

@Witchyandtwitchy welcome ! You had a fabulous first week loss ! Maybe just persevere don’t think you doing anything wrong. Could be water retention if period related. I am also similar stage but on HRT so hoping this doesn’t affect weight loss, don’t think have lost much this week weigh in tomorrow so not sure until then. But I have done my measurements and lost 3 inches from abdo/ belly area since starting so pleased with that.

OhHaiOwlInYourTowel · 10/10/2024 14:39

@Witchyandtwitchy hope you don't mind me jumping in!

You're not doing anything wrong. This weight loss isn't linear and there'll be fluctuations. To see the real loss, just get to the end of every month and tot up the loss across the previous 30 (or 31!) days. It's then you see the actual progress you're making.

I often have a month where for the first 14 days or more, I'll bounce up and down by a few lbs but without exception when I look back every 30 days, I've never lost less than 7 lbs each time

I'm now 9 st 9 so approaching the end of this journey but I've managed to lose almost 5 and a half stone so I'm quite pleased overall.

But honestly, keep doing what you're doing and you'll be fine

I agree, keep going! Eventually the scales will move with correct food choices and portion size
Keep us updated for sure! Exciting to hear how you are all getting on

Hi can I join you please 🙏 just started, was a bit worried about side effects so I've only injected 1.25 to start with having read up on microdosing. It seems to have suppressed my appetite without any side effects so far. I would like to lose 2 stone fairly slowly and healthily alongside diet and exercise. Excited to see how this works.
