Just seeing if there is interest in starting a chat to share progress.
I did my first injection on 24th September.

SW 14.12
CW 14
Height 5.7
Not sure about GW just yet, I'm thinking 11 stone.
Anyone else want to join and share progress?
I'm two days away from my third injection and so far symptoms have included suppression and slight tiredness.
Looking forward to this journey though, feeling super positive!

@DollyPop100 thanks! How are you getting on? Still going great guns I hope

DollyPop100 · 11/10/2024 22:08

Hi @PeachyKeane hoe you have a good week, keep
us posted.

DollyPop100 · 11/10/2024 22:15

@OhHaiOwlInYourTowel
weigh in today lost another pound this week, but happy with any loss, eating well and trying to be active. Do t mind if it slow and steady as long as those scales going down. Went to a work lunch today there was a buffet. Usually would be desperate to get my plate filled up but really had no interest and went last to it. It was mainly sandwiches and pies and not really been eating bread so could only manage small amount.
Feels so great not to be controlled by food.

DollyPop100 · 11/10/2024 22:16

@OhHaiOwlInYourTowel hope you had a good day

Thanks, am very excited not to be controlled by food noise anymore. I'm initially using up my Cambridge diet shakes, soups etc and it's making it so much easier to stick to that. I've also got the Fast 800 cookbook so will try some recipes out of that for my evening meal.

DollyPop100 · 12/10/2024 08:26

@PeachyKeane good luck, yes exciting not to have that.
Never tried Cambridge although tried everything else ! that sounds good getting some nice recipes together, I need to do that.
I weighed myself yesterday evening usually do morning but was rushing out yesterday and lost 1 pound this week, thought it might be more.
I weighed myself this morning thought worth trying first thing as felt had lost more, and have lost 3 pounds which am pleased with so sticking to morning weigh ins 😀
clothes Fitting better and I have ordered 1 item in next size down.
weigh loss 1st 6 lbs since 7/9

rosesl · 12/10/2024 09:27

Morning all, week 1 day 6 for me and I've weighed myself and I've lost 4lb! I'm pleased about that.
How's everyone getting on this week?
Did you all feel you were ready to rehab by day 7?

DollyPop100 · 12/10/2024 13:30

@rosesl thats a great loss, you must be pleased !
my first few weeks I felt it worked for the whole week and tbh still do, but get the odd Fri eve where feel bit hungrier than usual but am ok with that as not overeating during the week.
have seen some people post that suppression doesn’t last all week.
I had bread yesterday at lunch as was on work lunch and seemed to be more hungry by evening . However I haven’t been eating bread as trying to eat unprocessed food and when I used to eat lots of bread it used to always make me feel more hungry later in the day.
I am on my second pen of 2.5 and aiming to stay on 2.5 as long as suppression working which it still is 🙏

rosesl · 12/10/2024 15:44

@DollyPop100 yes I was pleased although it's not as much as some but I guess everyone is different.
I haven't really had any carbs this week, just because I've been getting full so quick.
How long have you been on it for?

OhHaiOwlInYourTowel · 12/10/2024 16:02

@DollyPop100 another lb off is good. They all add up

I've also lost another lb and I'm going to start winding down soon I think. I've settled on 9 st 5 as a final goal weight and I'm currently 9 st 9.

I wish there was a little bit more guidance out there for maintenance tbh - there's not really a lot of info but this is probably because MJ only appeared in the UK in February so it's only about now that people are starting to reach their goal weights

6 weeks
hoping to be at GW for Dec but will be more like Feb if only losing 1lb week but happy with steady weight loss as been trying since Jan to lose weight and struggled, started HRT too which I felt increased my hunger so that didn’t help.
feel making great changes so trying to do it sendi my not happy to starve myself so atm finding 2.5 enough suppression.

That’s fantastic well done ! sounds like you are nearly there then. Suppose it good to have a few pounds to play with too.
I haven’t looked re maintenance guidance tbh although seen some articles where people have maintained after stopping but some have gained a little too.
what is your plan ?
I have a holiday around when due to get to goal so not sure how that will work.
I was thinking when get to that have a pen just incase and use half dose but trying to get into better habits too so hoping won’t need to.
Hoping the motivation from losing the weight will keep me going esp as will be charity shopping my bigger clothes.

Pomegranatecarnage · 12/10/2024 18:08

Hello
May I join you? I took my fifth dose yesterday, I’ve lost 10lbs. Is anyone else having trouble with side effects? The day after my injection I can’t eat at all and have such bad nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea that I can’t leave the house. I also have back pain and feel cold and shivering.

PeachyKeane · 12/10/2024 19:17

I have lost 7lbs already which is incredible but probably a lot of water. I haven't had side effects but only took half of the 2.5 dose as was worried about feeling crap. It seems to have suppressed my appetite without making me feel bad so far.

DollyPop100 · 12/10/2024 22:02

@Pomegranatecarnage welldone great lost !
those side effect sound difficult to deal with hopefully will improve ?
my main thing been indigestion but that was only first 2 weeks and bit of constipation sorry TMI

Inthetww · 15/10/2024 15:22

Hi everyone, injection day and weighed myself, another 2lb loss.
Really pleased with this as I went out twice this weekend and drank so wasn't expecting anything off!
Must be burning fat now right??
Nice to see lots more joining in, keep us updated with progress

That’s great news @Inthetww especially as you went out and had alcohol.
I haven’t drank since starting but have about 3 consecutive weekends out planned which will probably involve alcohol ! Feeling nervous about drinking on MJ and want to keep losing. Previously when had alcohol it’s the eating junk for 2 days after that don’t want to do but that’s what I did in past so going to keep an eye on how much I drink as don’t want binge eating back ! Did you get any side effects ? Important to continue with normal life though. Some have said they haven’t felt like could drink much ? How was it for you ?

Inthetww · 15/10/2024 19:43

I had a few Prosecco's Friday, absolutely fine Saturday, no overeating or anything.
Saturday had cocktails but omg they were so sweet, it was rank! No sugar for all this time then 3 of those and I was so sick! Felt rough the next day too. I'm convinced it was the sugar rather than the alcohol. I was quite good with eating Sunday. I ate more but all healthy.
You'll be ok, take it slow and steady, you'll know when you've had enough!

Well done @Inthetww on the weight loss this week!!

I've drank a couple of times this last week and been okay, I only had a couple of glasses of wine each time so wasn't drunk/hungover but didn't over eat!

Is anyone measuring inches as well as weight?

Inthetww · 16/10/2024 18:01

No. I'm super annoyed I didn't measure at the start, have you been measuring inches too?

Yes I measured a few weeks in and have lost 3 inches from abdo, think it defo worth doing

rosesl · 16/10/2024 20:34

@Inthetww yes I decided to measure my waist, hips, thigh, arm and bum. Figured it would be helpful to see inches lot as well as weight x

rosesl · 16/10/2024 20:35

@DollyPop100 yes i have done some measurements, not noticed much difference yet but only 10 days in
