Hi, new here. I took my first injection of wegovy on Thursday and wondered if there was anyone else who's just started it?

I'm feeling fine so far. Tiny head ache yesterday but otherwise no other side effects yet.

Did you inject it at the same time as another dose, or as an extra week, or somewhere in between?

Same time - it was literally 5 extra clicks so hardly any.

Just started Wegovy - took my first dose Wednesday evening. Have 2.5 stone to lose. Feel generally okay, apart from an annoying low level headache which came on shortly afterwards and won’t shift (drinking enough so not dehydrated). Anyone else had this?

It’s definitely taken the edge of my appetite already. I never thought I’d say this but I could give a tube of Pringles a miss!

I've gone up to 0.5mg now and despite being worried I should have gone with Mounjaro I've now lost just over a stone since I started about 6 weeks ago. Have had quite a lot of excess wind and also diarrhea which hasn't been great but hopefully that will stop as I get used to it.

I have returned from my weekend away and taken my first dose this evening! Let’s see what happens, will keep you updated

Does anyone know anything about changing supplier mid course? I looked at med express as it's cheaper than Voy who I'm currently with, and they will supply starting with the higher dosages if that's what I'm already on, but my BMI is now down to 29.5 (woohoo!) and they wont prescribe unless my BMI is over 30.

Some will let you change if your starting BMI was over 30 even though it is now below that. I think Bolt will for example. Have a shop around and see who will. The other thing to find out is which pharmacies will support maintenance once your BMI is under 25.

Does anyone get itchy hands or feet on Wegovy? I had an itchy foot last night and hadn’t had that force while but used to - possibly while on Wegovy before.

I haven't had itchiness on it.

No itching but horrendous sulphur burps!

@Latewalker1 You can change supplier under 30 BMI (I just have) you just need to send evidence of previous prescriptions and photos. Personally not had a great experience with Medexpress. I’m 8 days on from a repeat order and still at ‘processing’ stage. So I moved to Pharmacy2U who have turned it around in 3 days.

I'm not on it but DH is and I organise all his orders, injections etc because he useless! He has 1 more dose of 0.25 to use and has just ordered 0.5 dose. He's had no side effects and has lost half a stone in 2-3 weeks.

DD has been on it longer and has gone from size 22 to 16-18. Only side effects she has had is what she calls sulphur burps. She's lost 2 stone in about 4 months but doesn't increase doses as often as she should yo save a bit of money.

Hello Wegovy people - finally back on 1 mg - the therapeutic dose or so they say. I have lost 4.5 kg or 10lb in the first 8 weeks on the lower doses. Suppression has been quite subtle so far so hoping for something a bit more noticeable now and keeping fingers crossed that at any side effects will be minimal especially with Christmas coming up.

Hope everyone is doing ok? I completed my first week and lost 3lb, very pleased with that. I haven’t had any side effects so far, so 🤞🏻 this continues.

I’m now on 0.25 dose and get some nausea now and again but nothing debilitating. My scales have run out of battery but I can say without a doubt that I have lost weight just by looking in the mirror and the fit of my clothes. Might just not bother with weighing tbh. The suppression is still quite good, but I have stupidly indulged over Xmas and managed to “push” through the feeling iykwim. So
not worth it even for a Markies chocolate! I don’t regret my Xmas dinner though it was spectacular 😆

I have been doing ok on 1mg - so sickness or anything. Definitely not dancing supper after large lunches and chocolate over Christmas. Need to get back on it asap though.

I have ordered my next two pens - a 1mg to give it 8 weeks and a 1.7mg. There was a deal on this with my provider. Still going well on 1mg but hoping for a bit more suppression on a higher dose. I am planning to step up gradually by counting clicks so that the 1.7mg pen lasts 5 weeks first time round. I think that will be 1.36 mg which is nicely in the middle.

Any new year starters to Wegovy? It seems like everyone else is on Mounjaro.

I have been on since August and lost 9kg (ideally another 16 kg to go at least) at about 2kg a month. But noticed my bmi this time is now 43 rather 47, under 40 and ai become obese not morbidly obese!

It has really helped with the food noise and the amount I am eating. Side effects for me are constipation and occasional burps. If I overeat in one sitting I feel very uncomfortable which in a way I realise is a new feeling for me

I’ve just started taking 0.5 and I feel like the food noise and appetite has come back with a vengeance! Does the body habituate to it? Maybe once I get to 1.0 it will kick in again. Taking it really slowly as don’t want to lose weight too quickly.

Well done @lostinabook . @AHouseInTheForest I think the body does habituate. 1mg is officially the first therapeutic dose. Stick with it. Did you lose weight quickly on 0.25mg?

I am on my second week of 0.5 and have found the same. Making me question if its worth it but if this normal then I will persist.

I lost weight on the lowest dose straight away as the food noise was much reduced and i just didn’t feel like eating, and really uncomfortable when I ate more than a small portion. But on 0.5 I feel like that has gone away. My side effects are headaches and sometimes nausea.

I have been exactly the same minus the side effects.

Hi I’m on week 3 very low dose 0.25 for 4 weeks moving to 0.5 for 4 weeks. I feel ok, odd headache and sickly occasionally but nothing major at all. Not losing any weight though and it’s not putting me off food yet!!!!

No itching but very greasy hair I’m not usually this greasy dry if anything, could it be a side effect?
