As in none whatsoever

I'm on my second dose of 5mg

Anyone experienced this? I'm wondering if it's worth continuing I am getting disheartened seeing how many people have lost loads of weight by this point and have no food noise 😢

That's very strange, not heard of anyone getting no suppression before.. maybe your body just doesn't like it. Suppose we are all different and your body rejects it or something..

How annoying for you though after spending money on it..

If it was me I would maybe try a 7.5 when you finish your 5 and if that still doesn't work I would prob give it up.. only cos of the money involved..

What jab?

I had suppression within 24 hours. That seems really odd

FrancisSeaton · 04/10/2024 08:11

Yeah I will prob do that

Nothing for me on 5mg either but I am switching from Wegovy. I’ve been told that you can need to wait until 7.5mg to feel effects after switching.

It does feel like wasted time and money though. Three months putting on weight, another three months to get back to where I was and the. I’ll start seeing progress. All to save £100 a month. Wish I hadn’t bothered.

Hoping for better things for you on 7.5

Some people simply don't respond to the medications. Which sucks and is very unfair but it does happen.

morbidcuriosity · 04/10/2024 09:13

Ah, didn't realise you switched from something else..

I have no experience in this, I started on mounjaro.
I have read about people that have though and it appears it dies take longer for it to work, and prob will have to wait till you are on the stronger stuff

Good luck to whatever you decide to do, I still reckon stick to it till you have tried the 7.5 or 10 . Then decide.

45fatandtired · 04/10/2024 09:32

Me too! 3 jabs and not a single lb off ! I'm wondering if I'm doing it right as did struggle with injecting , needle broke twice .
I'm very menopausal so wasn't expecting miracles , much harder to get weight off at the moment full stop .
Also Munjauro, 2.5

I didn't switch- that was another poster

Oh my mistake.. sorry.

I'm not to sure then, but as I said if it were me I would try the 7.5 and make that my last if it didn't work I think..

Or maybe try the other stuff, but I think mounjaro seems to be the one people are loving more.

I was a 'low responder' - I lost a small amount of weight but it was under the threshold for continuation of treatment.

I also had increasing skin reactions to the injection site.

This was a few years ago with Liraglutide so newer drugs may be different.

I put it down to the fact that when I feel nausea my solution is to eat (usually simple carbs) to resolve it - worked through pregnancy.

It is very hard if you're in a group where everyone is dropping large amounts of weight and you're not.

Doggymummar · 04/10/2024 10:22

I don't have any suppression yet either. But will continue up through the levels. I think I read at 10mg you should feel it.
