Medexpress Delivery issues

I’m currently on Mounjaro and have used MedExpress for a few orders now. I finished a 7.5mg pen last week. I have a new 7.5mg pen in my fridge, which I will start using this week. I also decided to place my next order early - I went for the next step up 10mg dose as feel my suppression is wearing off.

I ordered the higher 10mg dose on Friday and MedExpress dispatched on Saturday and delivered today after a Royal Mail delay. My pen arrived not being cold, the ice packs weren’t cold either.

I contacted MedExpress who dismissed my concern and said today’s 10mg delivery is good for 30 days. The problem is that I don’t intend to use it in the next 30 days - I still have yet to use the 7.5mg pen I currently have in the fridge which is at a lower dose.

Please can anyone give advice as I’m a bit disappointed in their response. So as to not waste money, should I just start the 10mg dose now? But then what do I do with the 7.5mg I already have? I just feel like the delay with Royal Mail isn’t my issue, my pen spent over 72 hours in transit, and MedExpress should take responsibility for this but they have completely shut down my questions.

Please quote the highlighted part to them and tell them you are not ready to use the pen yet. Hopefully they will send you a new one

Get in touch with Eli Lily directly via their website, chat option and ask them to make an assessment if you pen is still good. Hopefully this will put your mind at ease.

Spoiler alert: It is good. They’ll tell you the efficacy and safety is unaffected and to pop it in the fridge, and that the 30 days countdown starts after first injection, otherwise it’s good until the expiration date shown

I am surprised because I had exactly thesame issue and literally videod myself opening the parcel the moment it arrived and sent them the video as a proof that the ice pack was melted. They replace the pen literally the following day!

@Lola3034 that’s super frustrating, I didn’t think to take a video but I wish I did. Their hit and miss customer service is appalling

I only took the video because I knew there is no chance this thing would be still in tact since it was dispatched on Wednesday and delivered on Sunday!
In all fairness it was with Royal mail all this time so Medexpress wasn't to blame but I was very grateful they replaced it so swiftly without me having to battle them!

@Lola3034 so they have refunded me for the order, they said I can reorder it closer to the time I need it. What did you end up doing with the dodgy pen - did you dispose or post it back?

@onfiree If they haven’t asked for it back id keep it as a back up 😄

onfiree · 03/10/2024 16:07

@Time4changeagain lol! I wouldn’t want that, it was stuck with Royal Mail for ages and when it was delivered I didn’t put it in the fridge immediately because I thought I’d be sending the parcel back. So I am genuinely concerned it’s a duff pen

Yeah that’s fair enough lol. It will still be ok for 30 days so you could use it as your next pen (counting clicks) & save the 7.5 as a spare instead.

Monjolady · 28/12/2024 09:26

It's valid 30 times from the time you open the box and take your first dose out of it. You haven't opened it there is nothing to be concerned about.
