Period pain is off the effing scale

Anyone else found this with mounjaro? I've been on it for 4 periods now I think and my god the period pain is something else. Prior to MJ i used to get period pain that i could keep on top off with regular ibuprofen, but now it's barely touching it. Lucky for me, I've not really had any other side effects from it, other than tiredness, so it's massively worth it. For a couple of days a month, though - holy shit.

There are a few comments online saying that it's to do with stored oestrogen being released from fat cells as you lose weight, but I've not seen anything from a scientific source that supports that. Wondering why it's a thing?

This is interesting. My last period was horrendous. Usual length and flow but the pain was intense. Like you, I can usually keep on top of it with ibuprofen but it wasn't touching the sides! Yay, looking forward to my next one next week 😬😞
