Reducing MJ week by week to stop

Hi

Ive been on MJ for 5 months and have lost 2 stone. I’m now within a healthy BMI (just) and want to lose maybe 1/2 stone more before stopping.

The highest dose I took was 12.5 which was too much for me as I felt atrocious for days. I only took that for one week and for the last 2 weeks I’ve reduced to 6.25 by counting clicks.

I can definitely feel the hunger more now and so far have been making healthier choices when hungry (protein yoghurt rather than Mars bar in shop for example) I’m hoping I’ll be able to keep this up and prepare myself for when I come off completely.

I just wanted to hear from others who have either stopped or reduced dosage in order to come off completely as to how they are managing hunger/if they have put weight back on.

Im hoping my slow loss over a prolonged period will mean I won’t bounce back to being overweight straight away and Intend to exercise regularly now.

I know you can be prescribed maintenance dose but I don’t want to stay on medication as I don’t think it’s a healthy long term thing to do and costs a fortune.

I’ve reduced doses and I had my last dose Friday. No more MJ for me!

I found reducing helped as it’s allowed the suppression to lessen gradually.

I confirmed to very slowly lose as I reduced dosage. The highest I got to was 10 for one pen. I reduced back down and had my final 3.75 Friday.

I feel confident. Exercise and eating is much easier now I’m slim. I don’t have the sod it attitude. May as well eat something as I’m fat with 4 stone to lose etc. I have weighed daily for years anyway - I just sat around 14 stone and didn’t have the motivation to get lower. I will continue to weigh daily.

It’d be really interesting to hear how you’re getting on if you don’t mind updating every so often?

i think MJ gives you that starting push you need to lead a healthier lifestyle but I am a bit worried about the constant hunger and cravings coming back.

I’ve lost weight prior to MJ using my own willpower so I guess it’s a choice each day to not have a massive blow out and make healthier choices.

I’ve learnt a lot around TDEE and how little you actually need if you have a sedentary lifestyle and also about different good groups.

Sounds like you’ve got it all planned and fingers crossed for you!
