Awful taste in mouth ??mounjaro??

I'm about 5 months in, currently on 10mg. Have been on 10mg about 6 weeks now. For the last couple of weeks maybe I've started to get a really awful taste in my mouth, pretty much all day long. Almost a metallic taste but not. Nothing takes it away, obviously when eating different flavours that's fine but the second my mouth is empty the taste is back.

Anyone else?

I had this when I first started on 2.5 and when I injected I could ‘taste’ the injection within seconds. Very weird.
I haven’t had the taste since I started my current dose of 5mg

I've had this since starting , I'm currently on 7.5 and I have the weirdest gassy hiccups today too

Yes I've had this since the start too.
My mouth tastes especially vile first thing each morning.
It's my only side effect so I'm grateful for that.

I've had this. I'm on week 3 of 2.5 and it can be awful. Like a stale taste. I thought I wasn't drinking enough and it was especially bad in the mornings, but even drinking more water doesn't get rid of it completely. I did think about getting some mints to suck on maybe?

Yeh a stale taste is a good way of describing it. I don't know why it's only just started for me when I've been on it months! But deffo not appreciating it!

I have it too. Glad it goes when on 5mg . I was worried about going on a higher dose.

Yes, I thought I'd got a faulty filter in my Brita jug at first because I had a chemical, sort of metallic taste in my mouth. But then my tap water had the same effect, and so did bottled water, so I've concluded it must be the MJ. It's not very pleasant but it's bearable.

Just for anyone reading this - it totally disappeared. Can't remember when but haven't had it for a while now! Had totally forgotten about it!

I do but I think it’s acid reflux urgh.

Maybe there's a few of us. I am expecting a message from the pharmacist to see why this could be. As you say it is bearable and doesn't last long.

One possible thing to check is whether your tongue is whiter/furrier than normal? My dentist commented on it at the last check up, and suggested I get a tongue scraper to use alongside brushing my teeth. I've been using that, and it seems to have helped.

Yeah I have this too. Keep using strong mouthwash but it’s nasty.

Thank you Zempy, It doesn't last long Thank Goodness. Not even an hour. It just comes a few minutes after the injection.

I'm at end of 2nd week and I have this, tastes like catarrh or something equally unpleasant, I'm paranoid that my breath stinks but have been assured that's not the case,
