People with sedentary lifestyle / illness how is it going?

I've just started Mounjaro and I have some illnesses which means I don't exercise much.

I was just wondering if there were others in the same boat and how it was going? Thanks Flowers

I don't have any illnesses but my life is relatively sedentary (office job, currently don't have time to exercise beyond a walk at lunchtimes).

I've lost 50lbs since mid-May and am thrilled with my progress. I've never lost weight in the past by exercising or following dieticians' advice about how many calories to eat. It's only on Mounjaro where I can be satisfied eating around 1000 calories a day of mostly protein that I've lost anything.

I had my first injection on Tuesday evening so I’m a complete novice and I’m also dealing with chronic health problems. My poor health means that I’m limited on how much energy I have and if I’m having a bad day pain wise. I’m hoping that if I can lose some weight, then I’ll start to have a bit more energy and maybe be able to build in some walking for instance.
After having the first dose on Tuesday night, I had reduced appetite yesterday but today it’s back with a vengeance! I don’t know if it was just a placebo effect yesterday or it was real but it’s a shame the reduced appetite hasn’t continued. I’m wondering how long, and on what dose, you should start to notice a difference in appetite?

Hi, I can’t exercise at all and have limited mobility. I’ve been on Mounjaro 16 weeks and lost 35lb so far.
Im still on the 5mg dose as my suppression is still really good and I’m losing on average 2lb a week

Ah, good to hear! Thanks. I too just started, it is day 3 for me of the starting dose and yesterday, I felt a bit hungry but today feel a bit different, none of the usual tummy rumbling, cravings etc after just a yoghurt for breakfast, half a sandwich and an apple at lunch. I guess that is normal for some people bit not me!

I do have a chronic pain problem and I am a bit worried as heard Mounjaro can cause constipation and I'm also on opiates which do that too, but my GPs are being really positive about the Mounjaro and I think they will help me if I need some help with that.

Best wishes to everyone!

@Orangesandlemons77
Yes I’m on opiates too… I struggled the first few weeks with constipation so took a few laxatives. I now take collagen tablets which seem to help. No idea why but I’m not complaining lol.
Good luck on your journey 😄

Thanks. You too! Before this, the GP had me on Metforming (for weight, not diabetes) and it caused a bit of diarrhoea so that might be an option to take alongside the Mounjaro I suppose. I do have some collagen tablets as well, so could try that!

Wow this sounds great - well done! Out of interest where do you buy? The internet has a billion options so kind of get overwhelmed and do the usual put it off for another week etc
