Does anyone know how these interact with disordered eating?
I would love to try them, but don’t know whether they’re counter indicated with mild eating disorders.

You would be extremely ill advised to use these with an eating disorder unless you are under close supervision of your Dr.

I’m going to see the GP and will ask. I wondered whether there’s a body of knowledge yet, really.

I would think the impact on food noise people are talking about would be particularly helpful for people inclined towards bingeing.

https://www.beateatingdisorders.org.uk/news/semaglutide-weight-loss-medication-very-dangerous-for-those-with-eating-disorders/ I hear you about the removal of food noise, and those aspects are why there is interest in it from addiction services….but it’s trying to remember that food ultimately is a coping strategy, unless you were to stay on that med for life you would still end up back in the same position. It’s the reason why some people who have experienced massive weight loss through eg. Gastric surgery can still be extremely unhappy as you have removed a coping strategy but the triggers or stressors that led to that eating disorder are still present.

Thank you @Whatspots ! So much! It wasn’t there last time I looked on BEAT I don’t think.

I’m right at the tippy toe edge of a disorder- nothing diagnosed but a dietician described it as subjective bingeing.

I really appreciate you taking the time to link.

best of luck I know it’s not easy. I think it’s going to be some time before any hard research as such , I think it’s the sort of thing dr’s would see in clinical practise and they are highlighting the need to screen patients before prescription …..if there was a better medicine available that does switch off cravings that sounds great for many people ,whatever the cause of their overeating but it may be something that is developed much later on https://www.nbcnews.com/health/mental-health/eating-disorders-increase-weight-loss-drugs-wegovy-zepbound-rcna162124.

Weight loss drugs like Wegovy may trigger eating disorders in some patients, doctors warn

Abuse of weight loss drugs is nothing new, but “nothing compares to the phenomenon that we’re seeing right now with these GLP-1s,” one provider said.
