Wegovy dose setting

Doh!
I forgot to do the dose setting thing you need to do with first dose of the pen. I noticed that there was a drop of Wegovy in the needle tip as usual
. Anyone have any idea if this is problematic?

I don’t know, just giving you a bump as your post caught my eye. Did the dose seem to go in ok? I guess you would have injected slightly less, and possibly a little air, which I think is ok with subcutaneous injections.

Thanks so much for replying - I've put a call in to the online pharmacy and am waiting to hear back . I'll update when I know in case anyone else does the same

It was the flow check that i omitted which you're supposed to do with a new pen

From reading the instructions just now, this "flow check" is to make sure the pen is functional and that the liquid is coming out of the needle correctly. So, it's similar to priming the Mounjaro pen.

If you used the pen to inject as normal, then unless you noticed anything different about the injection or the pen afterwards I can't see that it will be a problem. But I guess your provider can clarify for you.

Pharmacy called back and have confirmed it's not an issue as long as there was a little drop of liquid on the needle before injection (which there was and which I did remember to check ) so no issue ,

Yes it's exactly that - checking the pen is ok so not harmful to overlook it but just a bit daft in case pen is defective .
