I've messed up by ordering 5mg

Just as the title says. I have ordered 5mg pen and should have stuck with 2.5mg as its working well for me.

I know I can take 2.5 out the 5 but then surely the pen would be unusable after 30 days and I'd lose alot of product?

Could you buy another 2.5 and leave the 5 until you're ready to go up?

Has your order been dispatched yet? Maybe the supplier might let you change if it hasn’t already been posted.

if you’ve already got your 5mg, then you could keep it in the fridge for a month and order a 2.5mg.

Or you could count clicks for lower doses on your 5mg and move up slowly over the month.

Was the price between 2.5 and 5 much different? for me it was the same price. So by counting the clicks to make it 2.5, if you have a lot left over at the end of the 30 days, it wouldn't matter much as you wouldn't have paid much more than the 2.5.
Also means you could do some doses at 3.75 towards the end of the pen if you feel that 2.5 is no longer working as you would like.

Alternatively store the 5 in the fridge for future use and order a 2.5 for now.

I ordered a 5 then decided to stay in 2.5 so I ordered another 2.5 pen and left a note on my order. My 5 was unopened so it just sat in the fridge until I needed it!

I stayed on 2.5mg for an extra month and then wished I hadn't. I think it's far better to have the 5mg and then you have the option of going higher if you want to. I am halfway through my second 2.5mg pen and very much looking forward to starting the 5mg! I don't think you've made a mistake, you've given yourself more options.

The price difference between my 2.5mg and 5mg was negligible so I used the 5mg for 5 weeks (which is within the 30 days) and upped to 3.75mg during it.

The good thing is you will be able to use 5 weeks without messing about with a hard twist to break the pen or a syringe. It also gives you the option to easily increase your dose if you find 2.5mg wearing off in another couple of weeks.

I didn't realise your pen needed used in 30 days doh!
I have two doses left of a pen which is in my fridge since June .
So I take it I can't use it now ??

Absolutely not.
It must be discarded 30 days after you first use it.
