Switching from wegovy to MJ

Wegovy isn't really working anymore. I've plateaued for a while now on 2.4. I have one pen left which I'll start this week.

How long after my last injection can I start mounjaro? Has anyone switched straight away?

I'm in the process. Was told to wait a week

There is mixed advice on this. The majority of information I've seen suggests it should be five weeks in between as the wegovy should've completely left your body before starting mounjaro. I have seen a couple of places suggest a minimum of a week but the drug won't be out of your system completely by then so I think the five weeks is probably closer to the best advice.

I went from 0.5 Wegovy to 5.0 MJ without increasing time between injections. No side effects at all. I’d been on tbe 0.5 for two months

Thanks. I didn't have many side effects with wegovy (apart from a horrific "shart" incident in week 1 but I know what to look out for now!). Will leave it at least a week.

Hopefully MJ will get the last stone off me x

I have just switched, I plateaued on highest dose of Wegovy for 3 months (very expensive) after losing 2 stones in 3 months. I'm with Boots and they told me that the guidelines have changed - you only need to wait 1 week between, i.e. just continue with MJ a week after taking last Wegovy. I had to start on lowest dose of MJ, day 3 and feeling same as with highest dose of W, maybe a bit more hungry, but no side effects. I'm hoping it will start the weight loss again on higher doses, have about 1 more stone to lose.
