It's not me, it's my husband.

Anyone any experience of moving from Wegovy to Munjaro and did the weightloss finally happen?.

He has been on Wegovy for 10 weeks now, lost a few kilos the first three weeks, dose increased after 4 weeks and has lost nothing since, he is eating less and has certainly cut out snacking, he thinks his metabolism is so bad that unless he totally starves himself he will never lose weight. He is beginning to suspect he is one of the tiny percentage who do not lose weight on the injections.

Dr. is now suggesting he moves to Munjaro rather than increasing the Wegovy dose again. He had barely any side effects from Wegovy, a bit of nausea the first few days and then nothing., not sure how normal that is, although he welcomed not having any side effects.

It took so much convincing him to even consider the injections, in the end it was his cardiologist who convinced him, he actually got excited about finally losing the weight, I feel so disappointed for him that it hasn't worked out so far.

Sorry to hear this!

Has he looked at his TDEE? There are online calculators.

Also, he needs to look at what he is eating, when he is eating and how much he is eating. These are really important.

How much movement does he get in on an average day?

It's important to remember that the injections are a tool, not a magic wand. You still have to do the work.

I read a lot, I started with the glucose goddess and then ultra processed people. I learnt a lot!

I know someone who didn't lost much at all on wegovy and switched to mounjaro with much better results.

You do have to change your diet and portion sizes on all these jabs though - it's a help to give you the willpower to make the permanent lifestyle changes you need to make if you're obese and need to lose weight and keep it off. Combining it with coaching is supposed to be the most beneficial.

I have used them all. Lost on ozempic but that was the easy first stone. Lost no more than half a stone on Wegovy over the same time period and stalled. Lost a few more since going on mounjaro. I'm definitely a slow loser which some are - if he's lost 'a few kilos' in 10 weeks overall that doesn't sound like a terrible rate of loss?

Its not the injections per se that will enable weight loss, its eating less. Is he eating less than his calorie output?

He may simply be a slow loser. I had WLS and was still losing at the weight of someone at slimming world or something!! Very frustrating but it came off in the end. He just has to check his calorie intake and be patient.

That’s shocking how desperate do you need to be to post your code on someone’s thread like this,

Just a quick update, he changed to Mounjaro and has lost 13kgs, no side effects, wants to lose another 10kgs.

That's great news! I hope he is feeling more motivated

Yes, he is delighted, he looks great.

We are skiing this week and he said the difference the weight loss had made is huge compared to the same trip last year. Three hours skiing last year was wiping him out, he is skiing all day now with no effort, walking up hills he would have previously had to stop once or twice to catch his breath, this year its so much easier for him. He was always complaining of aches and pains in his knees and hips and those have really subsided.

He had to buy a whole new wardrobe of clothes, the only downside for him, as he hates shopping 😀. He is now determined to start working out, so it has been really positive experience for him.
