Possibly daft question about ordering second pen

Bought first one with zava (took a week to be approved and arrive) - do they get in touch to see if you want to order a second pen or about a week before you need it do you order the second yourself?

I've been on a subscription until now so it has arrived like magic but have just ordered from a new provider and did it as I took my third dose which is what people on here recommend.

Just order it. I've found they do email and prompt but not until it's too late and you'd miss a dose.
