A friend has recently lost 3 stone and I’m after losing around the same with my bmi being in the obese category, but I don’t know where to even start looking to buy? Or which is best for me?
I’m on a lower end budget, work full time on my feet all day so would prefer something that won’t make me feel nauseous

I understand your dilemma. I've battled with my weight throughout my adult life, trying countless diets and spending a small fortune, only to find myself gaining more in the end.

Just over six weeks ago, I took the decision to order Mounjaro from MedExpress. I had to send them photos of me and fill out a medical form.

I was nervous but the injection itself is nothing, the needle is so small and thin that I literally could not feel it going in. The next day, my appetite was completely suppressed and I stopped my non stop obsession with food. And that has continued. I have had some constipation but no other side effects.

I've effortlessly lost 1st 7 pounds on Mounjaro and I couldn’t be happier! I was nervous at first, but for me, it’s been nothing short of a miracle.

If you're interested, I have a discount voucher for £40 off at MedExpress. Pls send me a PM and I'll send it to you straight away.

I chose mounjaro as I previously tried semaglutide in tablet form and it made me feel unwell and I had to stop it. So far, so good with the mounjaro. I was really worried about the injection as I cant even do the finger pricks for bloods, but its painless and easy.

I went with medexpress for where to buy as they are one of the cheapest ones and you will be able to get a code for £40 off your first one. I wont put mine on here as you are likely going to get bombarded with them, but whatever service you choose to buy through, there is a thread for discount codes for weight loss injections so have a look through as each site has different options.

I will say though that no matter which you go with, you are not going to find one that is guaranteed to be side effect free and I think nausea is something that is high on the list of potential side effects. Ive found them relatively fine to deal with but everyone is different, its worth reading through the side effects of each one.

So if you’re thinking injectables, the choice is between Wegovy and Mounjaro. They’re both good and efficient, they both may have some side effects. Mounjaro seems to have less side effects and more successful for people who have more to lose.

If you google Mounjaro or Wegovy you will get a ton of providers. They do consultations so it’s worth asking them about your concerns.

Personally, I have been on MJ for over 3 months now and have lost 3 stone. I have not had any side effects apart from 24 h of nausea with my very first injection. I’ve been using MedExpress - they seem quite good delivery-wise; they offer a price match promise if you find the medication cheaper elsewhere, they support maintenance when you get to a healthy BMI, they’re one of the best priced overall, and offer £40 off first order. When you order from them you get your own discount code, which if someone uses gives you £40 credit towards your next order. So it really does help your bank balance. They have been a life saver for me!

Here is a helpful chart. Loads of people will share their discount codes on here - you don’t have to use the ones in the chart.

good luck!

You can't guarantee how you are going to react to these injections as everyone is different. Mounjaro is reported to have less side effects, but for some people they still have them.

Some get minor side effects, others significant GI side effects for weeks until their body gets used to the medication, or they find the medication is not suitable for them (constipation, urgent diarrhea, nausea, sickness). Some also report fatigue and headaches.

My side effects have been mostly minor and manageable, but I have had a couple of urgent diarrhea incidents/once a full day of them when I was very thankfully at home! They are not predictable either, they could be the day after your weekly injection or a few days after.

You can try to lessen the side effects with having anti sickness meds, imodium to hand etc.

The sometimes unpleasant and sometimes spontaneous side effects that you can't plan for are why these injectables are not an easier option - you need to balance risk of the side effects at unexpected times, with the long term health impact of obesity.

Good luck!

Make sure when you order your first one, have a look at the discount code thread.. you can get a code to pop in and get a good discount.. I won't post my code here as the thread is dedicated to them and asks you only post them there..

Koalityone · 12/09/2024 20:14

Thats ridiculous! I think MN need to perhaps crack down on this, ive shared my code on the post which is designed for thar but spamming it on other peoples posts and PMing people is just excessive.

Koalityone · 13/09/2024 19:53

oh I won’t be using a code that’s been PMed, was lovely to have been given the opportunity but I’ll just fast scroll the actual code thread and find one randomly x
