Question about the bonus dose

I have extra needles , and am planning on the hard twist method as i dont have syringe needles, If there is more than 0.6 ml left in my needle, will the hard twist inject all of it?

I read some people are left with like 0.7 or 0.8 which makes the transition to 5mg easier.

What im asking is if there is more than 0.6 ml left can I use that with the hard twist, and does that then break the pen for good?

The hard twist will give a standard dose (assuming there is enough left in your pen, which there should be).

If you want to do a larger dose instead, then you will need to get it out with a syringe needle.

Just to say that I have been doing the hard twist but finally got some insulin needles and oh my days - so much easier and clearer!!! You know exactly how much you’re drawing out, and no faffing with the twist!

Where do you get the insulin needles from? What ones did you get?

@MetabolismLost you need 1m insulin needles. There are links on the website linked at the top of the 'main' thread or I bought these which have been fine 😁

Argh - 1ml syringes!!
