Christmas target - Mounjaro users

Snozzlemaid · 07/09/2024 16:46

Does anyone else have a target in mind for Christmas?
I'm currently 15st 9lbs and have decided I'd like to aim for 14st by Christmas.
So 23lbs to lose in just over 15 weeks.

Should be doable if I continue to lose what I currently do weekly.

@MounjaroUser and yep- I've bought so many clothes! I've always been heavily into clothes and fashion etc etc and owning just about all the clothes in the world doesn't stop me Grin

I've bought some bikinis too. Now, I have no business wearing a bikini as A I'm 50 odd and B I have this stupid loose skin at the top of my thighs and arms but meh - who cares?

BatFacedGirlll · 10/09/2024 21:49

@MounjaroUser and god my face! That's been satisfying to lose the triple chin

Just putting this here for inspiration
down 2 st 4lb
i would like another 2 stone by xmas
on 2.5mg. I am never hungry, don’t feel the need to increase dose

OrangeWire · 10/09/2024 22:41

I would love to be in the 17’s for Christmas, so that’s about 25lbs. It’s challenging but based on my average weekly losses it should be doable, it just means that I’ll have to be “on it” for the rest of the year!

RobinEllacotStrike · 10/09/2024 22:53

Start weight 123kg
Current weight 114.5kg

It would be bloody marvellous to be below 100kg for Christmas.

Snozzlemaid · 10/09/2024 23:04

So many great goals inspiring us all. And great to hear from those hopefully at their goal by the end of the year.
I started this thinking I'd take it for a couple of months to kick start my weight loss, but it's been so successful for me there's no way I'm stopping anytime soon.
I'm looking forward to not hiding away from cameras at Christmas this year.

Yes I've got about 5 stones to go, my goals are

  1. to feel nice, in new clothes at Christmas and
  2. to wear light summery clothes next July.

Hopefully I'll be at goal by next summer.

WouldYouLikeMeToSpellThatForYou · 11/09/2024 07:00

I'm also hoping for 2 stone (28 lbs) to take me from 12s6 to 10s6. My first non- overweight Christmas since I was like 21! (31 now).

I know I can maintain weight, now I'm older I understand the impact of stress and lack of sleep that's caused havoc to my body over the last 10 years (social work, education, mental health roles). I now understand my unmediated ADHD and my ASC binging/dopamine need and have to find alternatives. Hoping to re educate myself and get back into my love of exercise. Started boxing, and c25k again.

SilenceInside · 11/09/2024 09:09

I've got a lot to lose from starting at a much higher weight than most here. I have lost just over 3 stone since the start of July, but still have several stone to go. I would like to lose another 2 stone by Christmas which at my current rates of loss should be definitely doable. Any more would be amazing. I will still be in the obese category but would be the smallest I've been for about 8 years if I make that goal.

Just looking forward to not being miserable about my weight and eating at Christmas for once!

WitchyBits · 11/09/2024 09:30

I'm 16 stone on the nose and would be very happy to be 14 stone on Christmas Eve. I've got to say my mj journey has been very simple and easy. I'm only on week 5 and I've lost 19lb !!

slummymummy35 · 11/09/2024 13:47

I hit bang on 13stone today (SW 14st 4lbs) and I would love to get another 1.5 stones off by Xmas! I think it's fairly doable in 3 months

Pinkbendyman · 11/09/2024 15:38

I would like to reach my goal weight of 11stone11lbs by Christmas, which is 14lbs total left to lose.
I started MJ on 16/5/24 and the first 2 and a half stone literally ‘fell’ off me!
The closer I get to my goal weight and a healthy BMI, the slower the losses. But I think this is better in the long run for my maintenance (still not decided on my maintenance plan) for a very happy and very healthy 2025!

MyPearlMentor · 12/09/2024 04:52

SW 85kg
CW 75kg
GW 65kg (24.5 BMI)

I am hoping to hit my target by Christmas! I have been losing 1kg per week fairly steadily, but as I accept this will slow down I am hoping this is realistic!

@BatFacedGirlll very inspiring, you look GREAT!

Snozzlemaid · 05/10/2024 08:45

I'm still heading towards my hopeful 14 stone by Christmas.
Currently 14 stone 12 lbs, so with 11 weeks to go it should still be doable.

This is very inspiring! I've got 6 pounds left to lose to get to my target of 8.13 - want to achieve it by 23 Nov - a weekend away - but by Xmas eve will be fine too. Started at 12 stone in may. Mj has been brilliant!

Goatblu · 05/10/2024 09:29

A smaller size. Hopefully a 16.

Snozzlemaid · 05/10/2024 09:35

@Goatblu Yes! Definitely good to aim for those smaller sizes too.

I'm hoping to find something nice to wear on Christmas Day in a size I haven't worn in a long time as well 😍

I have a pair of Christmas trousers I've not managed to fit into the past two years so that's my target

I love the thought of Christmas trousers! I'm thinking sparkle and tinsel!
I'm on holiday at the moment and have worn a bikini - admittedly the bottoms are Large and the top a 38f but I feel good and don't look out of place by the pool. I have a flabby tum and legs and am 63 but I don't care - and I don't think anyone else does too. How many years have I been worried about what others think - total waste of time.

NewoIkkin · 05/10/2024 10:53

I’m only 8lbs away from my target of 4 stone lost by Christmas, so I’m going to update my goal to 60lbs. That’s 12lbs to lose. Should be more than doable, although I do have a holiday at the end of the month, and I am prone to gaining a lot of weight in autumn (thanks to hearty stews, mulled cider and leftover trick-or-treat chocolate)!

If I’m really optimistic I could aim for 4.5 stone…

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 05/10/2024 14:17

I’m not a huge one for setting targets (for anything, not just weight loss! 😂) as I always feel shit if I don't meet them! BUT MJ seems to be allowing me to meet some 'targets' so I’m going to put a thought out into the universe...

By Christmas, I would like to see a number starting with 12 on the scales😁

It's not unthinkable (well, that's not true, weighing 12 anything is practically unthinkable!!) as it's only 12lbs away so could actually happen🤞🤞🤞

WitchyBits · 05/10/2024 14:29

I seem to be in a bit of a stall. This week I've regained 2lb, lost a lb and then regained 3 🤷🏼‍♀️. But gutted as in suffering series constipation and decided to order another 5mg pen for next month. But I've still lost a chunk.

Sw 7th aug 17st 5lb
Cw today. 15st 10lb

Hoping to be 14st by New Year's Day.

ringoutsolsticebells · 05/10/2024 14:47

Hoping for a pound per week so 11 pounds by Xmas. I'm in my late 50s with lipidema so I lose very very slowly

TheShellBeach · 05/10/2024 14:50

I'd be glad to be 14st by Christmas.

I was just over 20st last Christmas.

I'm 15st at the moment.
