Christmas target - Mounjaro users

Does anyone else have a target in mind for Christmas?
I'm currently 15st 9lbs and have decided I'd like to aim for 14st by Christmas.
So 23lbs to lose in just over 15 weeks.

Should be doable if I continue to lose what I currently do weekly.

I would love to loose 28lb between now and Christmas week. I know it seems like a lot but I'm aiming high and will be happy with any loss!

Fromthesidelines · 07/09/2024 17:05

I'm hoping for 11 and a half stone, which would mean about another stone. But I'm quite a slow loser and so expecting to start losing less than my current average of just over a pound a week.

Glittermoonlight · 07/09/2024 17:38

Yes! Christmas target is what I’m aiming for, so I’m hoping after 4 months that’s a realistic time scale, don’t mind losing slow & steady.
So SW 13st11,
CW 13st 7
TW. 11st11
cross fingers!! Really just getting into the 11’s!!

Trounlet · 07/09/2024 18:45

My target for Christmas is 90kg.

SW 112kg
CW 102kg
Xmas Target 90kg
Final target (Msy 2025) 75kg

WeAllHaveWings · 07/09/2024 18:48

15 weeks to Christmas and hoping to get down to 17st which is another 27lbs loss.

I have been on MJ for 11 weeks and averaging 2.4lbs a week over the last 6 weeks so feels doable.

Ds65 · 07/09/2024 19:26

I have a Christmas target as well. Just want to be losing enough to be comfy. First 7.5mg dose tonight...fingers crossed. X

Rorpethy · 07/09/2024 19:33

Ooo good idea to have a Christmas target. I'm around 13 and a half stone now so I would be thrilled with 12 stone by Christmas. 20lb ish in 15 weeks isn't too optimistic I hope.

NewoIkkin · 07/09/2024 20:59

When I started at the end of June I set a target of two stone by Christmas, but was secretly hoping for three. I’ve already lost two and a half, so I’m hoping for another stone and a half to make four total! I’d like to get a new dress in a size 18 for Christmas Day.

Ds65 · 07/09/2024 21:06

Well done!!! Which dose are u on? I started at beginning of July and am still aiming for a stone...😫

naemates · 07/09/2024 21:10

I have a pair of Christmas trousers I've not managed to fit into the past two years so that's my target

NewoIkkin · 07/09/2024 21:12

@Ds65 I did four weeks on 2.5mg and I’m on my second pen of 5mg now. I was at a very high BMI to start though (41.6) and also started off doing a VLCD of about 800 calories a day, so it came off quite quickly at first!

Snozzlemaid · 07/09/2024 22:11

So good to see everyone's hopes for a thinner and lighter Christmas.
We can do it!

MissFancyDay · 08/09/2024 00:57

My target is 14st 7lb by Christmas, which will be a loss of 1st 12lb. It's a carry on of my weight loss so far on 2.5mg, which has been slowish, so it should be doable. I'm excited!!

And then to have a goal for next year's summer. I hope to feel light and summery for the first time in many years.

3wDavid · 09/09/2024 05:15

My goal for Christmas is 75 kg which should see me into the healthy BMI! I have about 10-12 kg to lose until then, or 1.5-2 stone which is ambitious. But I am already 3 stone down in 3 months, so I reckon it is possible. Tbh, I would be chuffed with whatever number, I will be infinitely better and healthier and slimmer than when I started end of May!

BatFacedGirlll · 10/09/2024 20:37

I started in April and my goal was a loss of 70 lbs by November 10th. I'm going away then to the Seychelles so it was crucial to me to be able to go and not have to hide myself away or think about my weight when there

I started at nearly 15 stone and as of today, I've lost 63lbs so I'm approximately half a stone away from my November goal of 70 lbs off

This will take me to 9 stone 12 and I think that's in the ball park of about right for me. I don't want to get into the mindset of trying to keep going lower

I'll share my pics below - sorry if you've seen them on another thread!- as I'm quite proud of how I've done so far after thinking that the d never be able to be slim again

I haven’t had any loss on 5mg, but lost 4 kg on 2.5. I’m going to realistically punt for a steady 0.75 kg per week so about 11kg which would take me to 93kg = BMI 28.

Good question OP. It was good to work that out and set a goal. I just hope things start up again on 7.5 next week!

Amazing progress, should be really proud of yourself!

onfiree · 10/09/2024 20:52

I’m hopeful that I’ll actually reach my overall target in December. So Christmas Day will likely be a normal MJ day (not eating loads) but with the best gift, of being closer to my “normal” self. I used to be slim until recent years, and my previous weight is definitely how I see myself in my head, so I’m excited to feel closer to my identity again if that makes sense!

I’m not buying new clothes…in the hopes I can just fit into my old ones.

My goal is just losing around 1kg per week. I have around 15kg to go

MounjaroUser · 10/09/2024 20:54

@BatFacedGirlll You look amazing! So slim. I started off at a similarish weight - 15 stone 4 lbs - 97.5 kg - and my target is the same as yours, though I'm hoping to hit it at Christmas. I started at the beginning of June and I'm now 13 stone 3 lbs, 74.2 kg, so losing a couple of pounds a week, though there have been about three weeks where I haven't lost anything (despite not eating much).

How tall are you? What size clothes are you wearing in those photos?

Have you had fun buying clothes for your holidays? I haven't been slim since I was first pregnant and I really can't wait!

MounjaroUser · 10/09/2024 20:57

It's so interesting that everyone's starting weight is someone else's goal weight.

MissFancyDay · 10/09/2024 20:58

@BatFacedGirlll Wow you look fabulous! well done. What are your plans for maintaining, do you feel confident with your new eating habits, if you don't mind me asking.

Justme2023123 · 10/09/2024 21:03

SW was 12st 4
CW is 11st 8 and I'm currently on my first week of 5mg after 4 weeks on 2.5mg
TW is 9st 7 which I hope to hit at Christmas

AnneElliott · 10/09/2024 21:13

I've lost a stone so far in 4 weeks and hoping for another stone by Christmas.

BatFacedGirlll · 10/09/2024 21:38

@MounjaroUser well, I'm fond of the stretch jersey type clothing so it's very easy to kid yourself about what size you actually are when all you wear is Hush, Sweaty Betty and Lululemon!

But in the first pic I'm about size 16. I wasn't bigger than that size wise I don't think. I'm fairly short at 5'ft 3 and a half so every lb shows when you're not tall and willowy!

Second pic is a size 10 skirt (cough - jersey!) and a size 12 top. I'd say I'm a size 10-12 now

You don't sound a million miles behind me in terms of how long it's going to take you. My best tip is to look at your losses over the course of a month - for example, in August, it got to the 17th and I'd not lost a thing. Not a single pound. I thought I was in a stall tbh. And then, by the 31st August, I'd lost 8 lbs. So my overall loss for the month was 8lbs which never thought would have happened

It obviously slows as you approach target but you can bank on at least half a stone a month throughout the whole journey I'd say. Give or take! Sadly the months of a stone loss every 30 days just aren't happening now! I'm happy with just chipping away at it now and I'd be very happy with 9 stone 12 for November - so 8 lbs to go

You've done very well so far! You just be pleased. I did feel pretty awful in myself at nearly 15 stone. It's just too much for my frame personally

BatFacedGirlll · 10/09/2024 21:44

@MissFancyDay I'm a big believer in looking at what's happened in the past when attempting to predict the future so do I fancy my chances of keeping all this weight off?

If I'm honest, not really, if I base this on previous decades of failure! So that's just me being truthful

However - I also just can't do this again. Just can't do it. I'm late perimenopausal and it's been a miracle that I've been able to lose almost 5 stone. So I'm determined to try my best. The biggest change I've made is being more active. I do spin twice a week, I swim twice a week and I'm just generally more active in myself.

I know I can't be complacent and o also know that the odds are against me but I'm going to try very hard and see where it lands!
