Anyone else finding 5mg suppression a bit much?

Am on my second week of 5mg and I am having to try really hard to force down any food at all. I feel slightly nauseous when cooking for others and without my own normal hunger cues I am not really motivated to cook at all.

On the upside I have lost almost a stone so far. Wondering if I should go back to 2.5mg, which definitely has some effect and made it much easier for me to eat sensibly.

No, I haven’t experienced that. I think you should contact your pharmacy before making any decisions. From my experience, the longer you are on a dose, the more your body adjusts to it and your side effects may reduce to the extent you no longer lose weight. So it could be the case that in a few days/weeks, you naturally can eat more on 5mg. It’s a discussion best held with your pharmacist.

I had that on 2.5 and the early days of 5mg. It passed though and you do adjust as onfiree says. By the third week of 5mg I’d settled down to strong suppression but able to enjoy most things and not having to force feed myself. You could try splitting the dose over your next week? I did that in week 2 of 5mg.

Each time I go up a dose, the first week or two the suppression is very strong to the point I struggle to eat 1200 calories a day. It always evens out after that period though.

I wish. I’m on 10mg with barely any appetite suppression. Can’t wait for 12.5mg in a few days.

ive had total suppression of appetite on 2.5mg to the point I’ve dropped to 40 clicks as I know I must eat for health reasons. I have used Saxenda before but never felt this adverse to food.
