Preparing for the injection

Timeforicecream · 02/09/2024 21:06

I’ve just received my injection. Any tips on what I should do to prepare myself?

make lunches in advance?
get a big shop in?
wait to the weekend to take it to avoid trips to the loo at work?

basically anything you've found helpful or that you wish you knew before hand.

thanks

Read the instructions properly and maybe watch a video of how to do the injection! 😁

Honestly, nothing else really needed. Good luck!

I just carried on as normal....

What are you expecting to happen OP?

Don't make lunches or dinners in advance, unless you are happy with waste.. I'm only in 3 weeks on 2.5. And my appetite has halved.. even more in fact, I am not hungry at all, and never in my life have I had to say, I have to eat something .. and ment it.. I was a blbit silly to start with and didn't eat enough, and felt faint..

I think OP means getting the shits

I've not had any negative side effects I'd have needed to prepare for. But just in case I did, I made my injection day one where I wasn't working for the next couple of days. I inject just before bed as well, so when I wake up the effects are in place.

Yes actually this was a great idea, 💡 be watched loads of videos. Tbh I might be over thinking things but I work long hours and I am just trying to make this work. Thanks for advice

Ok I think I’ll just go with the flow and maybe have some fruit in the house as a snack.

I am starting it tomorrow so fingers crossed all goes ok. Prob worried because I am allergic/reactive to a lot of things.

I was very tired the first couple of days, maybe think about doing it when you have a couple of non-working days if fatigue might be an issue for you?

It can make you feel nauseous so maybe have healthy snacks in if it's easier to eat little and often.

I love fruit but was advised to have protein with it, such as grapes and cheese, apple and almond butter, etc, to avoid blood sugar spikes and crashes. I am using MJ for prediabetes as well as weight loss though.

@Timeforicecream the advice comes from personal experience! 🤦‍♀️

Good luck!
