Boots don't know the difference between MJ and Wegovy

Look at this mistake when I'm placing my MJ order!

This is in addition to them, a few months ago, dispensing a different dose from that which they prescribed me. Not to mention their online ordering platform is glitchy and longwinded.

Typo on the website, obviously copied from the Wegovy one.

Dispensing a different dose is unacceptable though. All prescription only medication should be checked twice before dispensing.

I have never rated Boots as a trustworthy pharmacy the amount of problems we had with them over the years prescribing to my mum and dad (both had chronic health problems and shopping list length prescriptions) was shocking - wrong doses and a couple of times even the wrong medication! A colleague at work used to get the Multi-Dose Bubble Packs for her elderly mum said they regularly screwed them up too putting pills in the same bubble that couldn't be taken together at the same time of day or wrong doses.

Too big for their boots 👢👢 , I prefer the smaller independent pharmacy we have locally.

Yep, you can see it's a cut & paste error but given how snotty Boots are about not even dispensing fucking Night Nurse when the Pharmacist is on their lunch they have a damn cheek to be so sloppy!

Sorry to hear about your parents. Boots did used to be quite respectable but tbh I think they've gone down the tubes. Their website and app are really crap as well and they are just overpriced and old-fashioned.

I'll never forget being told I could not buy urinalysis strips because the Pharmacy Assistant "suspected" I might be GOING TO USE THEM TO DO THE ATKINS DIET AND BOOTS DON'T AGREE WITH LOW CARB DIETS ONLY LOW FAT ONES!!

I mean they are so hilariously out of date that the MJ prescription comes with a money-off voucher for fucking WEIGHT WATCHERS!

Typo aside, the wording of that statement is shocking. It's not acceptable to suggest that mental health is not a medical issue. I suspect they intended to make a distinction between physical and mental health and someone got the wrong end of the stick. Very poor.

@OhTediosity yes, I see what you mean. Boots really are stuck in the dark ages.

It's a simple typo, easily done. Of course they know the difference. However dispensing the wrong dose is dreadful.

Yeah it's a typo. And yes it is easily done. We all make mistakes. That's why there should be procedures in place for checking things that are important. Like forms by a national pharmacy for dispensing prescription drugs to thousands of patients online. And the dose of prescription drug that someone has dispensed...

....oh wait...I see a theme here. Yes, Boots are sloppy as fuck and have no systems in place to check neither paperwork nor prescriptions.
