I've been on mounjaro since 1 April so far have lost 4st SW was 16st now 12st
I'm aiming for my healthy weight of 10st7

I am feeling so much better and in control, but my most emotional moment was being able to put on the ring my husband bought me on our honeymoon moon 21 years ago. I've only wore it for about a year after we got married as I put on lots of weight and it finally fits StarStarStarSmileStarStarStar

Does anyone else want to share any achievements

I'm sorry I don't have a milestone to add but I thought yours was wonderful. Well done OP. What a lovely moment that must have been.

Cantwaitforautumn · 31/08/2024 10:01

Aw I love this, well done! I too am on Mounjaro but only lost a stone and a half booo 😫 however I can now fit in size 16 jeans comfortably, I consider that a small win!

noclouds · 31/08/2024 10:12

@Cantwaitforautumn that is brilliant, and definitely a win

@Plotatoes thank you it was very emotional. It's a very understated ring, but feels very emotional and I am proud to be wearing it again after all these years

I'm on week 6.. (.5 mg) lost a stone and half.. I'm on my way to finally having a new hip next year.. it's motivating me.
No side effects yet.
Lovely story about your ring.
💐❤️

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 31/08/2024 10:45

@noclouds that is utterly beautiful! I am so happy for you.
2 1/2 stone down for me and nothing as emotional as that but my rings are falling off and I can fit in clothes I bought ages ago and never wore as they were too tight. I can also do my bras up on the tightest hook (and they're still a bit loose really😁)

RamblingFar · 31/08/2024 11:06

I managed to velcro up the parkrun volunteer hi vis jacket this morning 😀

Well done on the ring.

I literally just had this same experience yesterday!!! I couldn’t believe it, I thought that ring would live in its little black velvet box for the rest of eternity. I blamed it on my joints getting swollen with age, no, it was just fat 🙀😹

I have a drawer with clothes I have bought over the years as ‘thinspiration’ when dieting but have never worn. I’m now starting to fit into some of them, I never thought I’d actually see the day as they’ve just been languishing in that drawer for years!

noclouds · 31/08/2024 12:19

@RamblingFar that is massive, the amount of times I was so embarrassed to have to put on a high vis jacket or equivalent as I knew I wouldn't be able to do it up. So well done!

I got into a pair of size 16 jeans today - it's been years since I could do that. I was feeling a bit low about the slow weight loss but it's now 25 lbs off over three months and I couldn't have stuck to any diet for three months, I know that.

PonyPatter44 · 31/08/2024 13:53

I bought a pair of size 18 trousers in Sainsbury's this morning, with some trepidation. Not only do they do up, there is PLENTY of room in the bum area! I don't think I'd quite squeeze into a 16 yet, but I'm starting to see it's not far off. Yay!

NewoIkkin · 31/08/2024 20:18

Bit easier to lace up my Doc Martens.

Wedding and engagement rings significantly looser.

Definite improvement in my fitness levels when out walking with my family!

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 31/08/2024 20:28

@noclouds and avoided all water sports as I wouldn't fit in amy of the 'buoyancy aids'!!

It's ok, I have my own!

olympicsrock · 02/09/2024 08:20

I bought a new bikini and look so much better in my swim wear than I did 4 months ago. See before and after pics 2.5 stone and 4 months in .

I have also been able to wear my rings more comfortably ( wedding ring had already been resized once and was very tight. )

I have got out a box of dresses that I wore 6-8 years ago ( size 16 ) . When I get home from my summer holiday I am planning to start wearing them and rediscover my old work wardrobe.

And I walked up a long steep hill without stopping yesterday! My family were so proud.
