@MissFancyDay @lookathatbookcase thanks .::: so odd isn’t it. I swear I used to be day 2-3 most and it’s really shifted. I did this medication so interesting …. It’s so powerful in many ways

MissFancyDay · 08/09/2024 17:40

@Wingingit11 Yes it is odd, you can't second guess it at all. I was fully expecting the 2.5 jabs to be less effective as the month wore on. in fact the fourth week was the best I felt and it was easier to stick to the 1200 cals, I didn't feel much effect at all in weeks 1 and 2.

HamAlive · 08/09/2024 17:47

I found the same, my 5th week on 2.5mg was the best one. I moved up to 5 on Friday, I've not had any strong side effects but I am struggling to fit much in, I'm a bit worried about drinking enough. I'm also due on and that pain along with a headache, bloating and feeling very full is a bit annoying.

Wingingit11 · 08/09/2024 17:50

I’ve gone up to about 3.75 this wk which might explain it a bit but just odd the days change especially as it has five day half life !i guess each week might be a bit different

Hey I need a little advice how to squash a situation surrounding MJ. I mentioned before about a "friend" being snide about injections when I mentioned the subject, she doesn't know I started. We were doing weekly weigh in accountability texts and she's not lost for 4 weeks, and lost 7lbs since Jan. So when I texted I'm 2.5 off this week she replied you are injecting aren't you! You can't kid a kidder, you have lost every week. I said I'm eating completely clean, smaller portions etc. So today I get a random message about something that was texted last week, irrelevant to MJ so I took the opportunity to ask do you still want to do the weekly weigh ins, she said lol why wouldn't I??? I replied well because you said I'm injecting a weight loss medication, the reply was haha I will still send you mine regardless! It's all so childish and I really can't be bothered with it but I don't want snide comments every week about me losing weight when I'm feeling really positive about myself. What do I say, sorry this is derailing but I'm sick of people judging weight loss injections. I want to reply that her comments made me feel I'm cheating and negative. Technically in some people's eyes I am and only you guys understand.

@NippyCrab she sounds jealous

Ignore her

Thing is also @NippyCrab is that you have to eat healthier on mj

If you pig out /eat lots of fatty foods or malteasergate 😉 then the loss will be less

I'm sure if I wasn't bad last week I would have lost 2/3 lbs - instead lost 1 but grateful for that

Plus others on mj don't always lose each week /slow losers

There is a thread about them and think one last started in June and has lost 6lbs - that's it

So don't always llose lots on it

@Blondeshavemorefun completely agree with this. Though there are people who lose loads especially in the first couple of weeks I am viewing it v much as a training aid for me to reset eating habits and hoping it pulls off. I am actually not fussed and possibly pleased I am losing at a solid 3lb a week or so as I am hoping it’s sustainable but I am definitely having to still work for that!

NippyCrab · 08/09/2024 19:01

@Blondeshavemorefun thank you, 😊 I don't like any confrontation so I'd rather just fade and retreat into my wee crabby shell 😆 my husband knows her really well as a friend of my wee late MIL and said to say nothing about anything 😂

FlappingMadly · 08/09/2024 19:14

I’m also using it to yes, lose weight, but also have the space to evaluate my portions, habits, appriach to health. Of course I’m envious of big losses but it’s an absolute delight to have a normal disciplined meal and the scale not go up.

There's a saying.... those that mind don't matter, and those that matter don't mind. I think this applies in this situation!

The MJ injection is a tool to allow you to loose weight. You have done nothing wrong by using it, so chin up, tits out, and walk tall. Flowers

Hi everyone, is it okay to join this late?

I took my first dose of 2.5mg on August 11th and my 5mg pen has just arrived. Excited but scared to start the next dose

Welcome! The more the merrier Grin

Mmmm...no you definitely shouldn't tell her, it doesn't sound like you are close enough to trust her with something so personal.

WitchDancer · 08/09/2024 19:21

I've just done my first 5ml. Fingers crossed I don't have bad side effects by moving up. 🤞

Motnight · 08/09/2024 19:24

I injected my second 5 dose yesterday, a day later than usual as I was going out in the evening for food. Have felt really full today, only eaten dinner and a boiled egg. Drunk lots but still feeling thirsty.

Wingingit11 · 08/09/2024 19:25

@Motnight I can’t handle eggs on MJ randomly 😅

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/09/2024 19:28

No side effects like last time as in no headaches and extreme tiredness @WitchDancer

Sometimes queasy but it's the constant night weeing that bugs me as makes me tired next day

I drink prob 2l of water /squash but always have. Daytime I might not wee for 4/6hrs but the nights eveey 2hrs

I know I keep saying This but it's driving me nuts

AugustSlippedAwayIntoAMoment · 08/09/2024 19:37

I'm about 2 hours on from my first 5mg dose and I'm back to the quiet feeling I had when I first started. It's quite nice for it to be back

WitchDancer · 08/09/2024 19:57

@Blondeshavemorefun no, side effects as in sulphur burps and even a full body rejection of anything in my digestive system. I will say the full body rejection was only when I first started, with minimal side effects the rest of the time really.

MargoLivebetter · 08/09/2024 20:11

Noticeable difference there @AuntieDote. Well done.

So good to read about all the losses. I'm down another 1.5lb. Happy with that. That's 10.5lb in 3 weeks.

Suppression for me is constant. I'm repelled by food for the first 2/3 days post jab and it tastes bloody disgusting. By day 4 it tastes reasonably normal again but I remain without appetite and have no hunger at all. All of which means I have no trouble keeping my calories restricted, so the weight loss is straightforward and not a grim battle. Love this!!! Hoping that I can take this opportunity to change my relationship with food.

Redlightbulb · 08/09/2024 20:18

2nd 5 mg dose today.
Have lost 9 lb in nearly 5 weeks.
A loss is a loss but would have liked a bit more like a stone as I have 8 stone to lose. MJ has stopped the binging and snacking for sure but I am still eating large meals.
Had my first case of real nausea one morning after eating chicken thighs the night before. Nausea lasted about an hour and a half after waking. I didn’t eat breakfast because of it.
I think what I need to do is move more.
Since working from home I don’t do many steps a day at all. Only time I have been happy with my weight loss was when I was working out 3 days a week.

My mental health isn’t great so it’s difficult to find the motivation to exercise.
I have had this before but find that once I get into a routine everything improves. Just need to push myself!
I hope everyone has a great week.

Rorpethy · 08/09/2024 20:22

@AuntieDote huge difference between the two pictures, well done! I can't wait to be able to see a difference in myself.

Wingingit11 · 08/09/2024 20:26

@Redlightbulb wfh is so difficult to get steps in isn’t it - my office days are way more steps and it’s not even a massive commute

100%. If I don’t leave the house it must only be in the low hundreds. Not much more exertion than lying in bed all day!

SilverSprings510 · 08/09/2024 21:35

@MargoLivebetter yes this is exactly it for me too. On previous diets it’s been a struggle maintaining a deficit for so long - I’m short so my calories need to be low to lose. I’d always be making sure I used every last calorie and would often go over - but less than 100 so it’s okay! Tedious. Finding none of that on MJ - I eat my calories and am satisfied with what I’ve had. I’m often leaving food on the plate now too, I don’t like the waste so am adjusting my portions accordingly.

eeeeeeeee · 08/09/2024 21:46

Thanks everyone for your well wishes, I feel much better today

So overall I have lost 8kg and my BMI is now 28.6. I’m no longer obese BMI, though I don’t really look much different! My arms and back are still quite flabby which makes the rest of me look bigger…

For healthy BMI, I need to lose another 8kg. However as I’ve been that weight before, I’m aiming to keep going and lose a bit more as I used to still have back rolls. They’re the bane of my life!
