Almost at 1000. We are a chatty bunch but nice to have each others support

I'm about to go up to 5mg , got just the bonus dose left on my last pen. But I've come on my period today and OH MY GOD my appetite has exploded and I'm SO HUNGRY and craving junk. I've eaten a bag of haribo, a bag of monster munch and a bar of chocolate. I'm going to be stricter tomorrow and hope for the best. Bit has anybody else been like this on their period?

just did my 5th dose which I calculated as being about 3 mg so a good stepping stone up.

All the companies feel you in for the first dose but then don't seem to give discounts for next oen

Hi all. Just done my first dose today. I don’t have a huge amount to lose but carry a lot round my stomach. I need to lose about 6kg to get back to my comfy weight but then more than that too. I exercise a lot and have spent years yo-yo dieting but I’ve found it so hard since getting older. I had lunch about 1:30 then injected at 4pm. I would normally be thinking about dinner by now but I don’t feel like eating at all - does it work that quickly?! Probably just my brain telling me otherwise.

also does anyone here vape or used to? How has mounjaro affected that? I’d like to cut down and then quit properly so if it helps with that also that would be an added bonus

I did dose number 3 yesterday. Lost 10lb in week one but only lost 1lb the second week. But happy as long as it keeps going down!

I’m also undiagnosed but highly suspect ADHD. That must be weird!!! I’ve never known anything but constant noise in my head.

Oh goodness I’m a numpty! I ordered some insulin needles so I could extract the 5th dose. Thought 10 would be fine. Bit surprised by the cost but having never bought them before I just thought that was what they cost. Large box just turned up. I’ve managed to buy 10…. packets of 10 (so 100 in total!) No wonder if was £21 😱😂😱😂

Yes! The first day I took it, I felt very down and spent a lot of the day crying, but since then I've felt somehow... better. Anxiety has lifted and I'm just getting on and doing things I've put off for ages. I feel like a version of myself that I haven't been for a while. Mounjaro works on reward response in the brain doesn't it, so maybe it has a wider effect too?

Just had my first 5 ml dose today. Not sure how much I lost over the last 4 weeks with the 2.5 dose, my scales are rubbish, but clothes are definitely looser. I went between feeling very disinterested in food to really quite hungry again but the urge to eat sweet things seems to have disappeared.

I have had a really sore stomach for a few days during the first few weeks. Have also felt very tired. But I can deal with both. Hopefully won't get any more adverse effects.

Checking in for new thread but nothing new to report here till I get home and can weigh myself!

I have been impressed by Med Express too after the initial delivery delays. This time I got a new pen ordered and delivered in 2 days. I have ordered some Perfectil for to prevent hair loss from them too. That was delivered the next day.

Second 2.5ml jab taken yesterday and I’ve been starving all day. Only had two banana and peanut butter protein shakes and some popcorn. Then when it came to dinner I suddenly didn’t feel hungry anymore, so I wonder if it took 24 hours to settle back in my system.

My DH is now getting tempted to start after seeing my progress so far. We’ve both put on so much weight over the last couple of years, I reckon a good 3 stone each.

I'm with Medexpress and they've been quite quick at delivery and answering any query emails

I'm at the end of week 2 and have lost 8lbs. My official weigh/jab day is actually Monday but I had a sneaky check this morning.

Suppression has worn off much more than week 1 though. I'm hungry and will need willpower until my next jab.

I will need to make a decision soon on whether I'm going up to 5mg or not.

I was feeling annoyed with myself earlier because I've eaten more today and have gone over my 1200 calories. Now I've thought logically, I'm over calories because I've eaten an extra kiwi and half a punnet of local strawberries so this is not a reason to beat myself up!

Sorry to post again but I have another question. I took my first 2.5 Saturday night but I want to change my injection day to Friday night, if I can. If I take this week's dose Saturday morning, then next week's dose Friday night, will this be okay?

And another question, I suffered really bad side effects about 12 hours after my first dose, am I likely to experience the same this week? I'm feeling nervous about taking my second dose.

On the plus side, I've lost 6lb in 6 days!

No weights for me yet (monthly weigher).

I had jab 3 of 2.5 yesterday, and I’ve bruised this time.

Starting to feel like I might look slightly different (only to me, no one else has commented). I looked down earlier and could no longer see my tummy sticking out further than my boobs, so that felt good.

I look really pale at the moment though. Not sure if it’s a MJ thing or not. I’ve restarted iron tablets as I’ve had low levels before, hoping to nip it in the bud.

Checking in. Half way through my second week. Strong suppression again this week. Less cold, sleeping better but have mixed it up with a bit of diarrhoea!

Raging thirst at times but that is becoming the sign that I need to eat, as I don't feel hungry anymore.

Did an interim weigh and dropped another pound, so hoping it will be 2 by the end of the week.

I haven't told anyone so find these threads really helpful.
