We had chicken fajitas last night for my daughter’s birthday and cake. Then DH got pizzas for tonight - small Mama Roma ones but still flippin’ pizzas! I couldn’t finish - felt yucky. Anyway, after that I got changed and had the bright idea to weigh myself. I am not in a good mood 😁

Well done on all your losses! Amazing.

Sorry to post again but I have another question. I took my first 2.5 Saturday night but I want to change my injection day to Friday night, if I can. If I take this week's dose Saturday morning, then next week's dose Friday night, will this be okay?

And another question, I suffered really bad side effects about 12 hours after my first dose, am I likely to experience the same this week? I'm feeling nervous about taking my second dose.

On the plus side, I've lost 6lb in 6 days!

You can change the day to suit your life, no problem.

I hope you're like me - I had a rough first week and have been fine since.

Really surprised at how quick my order has been dispatched from med express. Will arrive tomorrow and I ordered earlier today.

eeeeeeeee · 30/08/2024 23:07

Can anyone help explain the weird way I’m feeling? I’m not sure what to do.

I had my 4th jab yesterday.

Earlier today I ate but had an upset stomach/loose bowel (sorry tmi) which isn’t normal for me. Since then I’ve sipped water throughout day. I just feel bizarre. I have a dull/numb sensation in my tummy, as if I’m very hungry or very thirsty. I’m not sure if that’s what it is as I have no appetite or desire to eat, though I can’t stop thinking about eating because of how my stomach feels. It’s like I want to eat but can’t. It almost feels a bit like nausea

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/08/2024 23:12

I'm Usually very nauseous after jabbing and Havnt been today

And after the hassle of the pen I'm hoping I did jab the dose

It sounds normal @eeeeeeeee

I'm on week 3, day 3 at 2.5mg.

Only 3lbs down so far and no suppression after first few days after a promising first week.
Sticking to it and got my 5ml pen from MedExpress ready for week 5 but a bit disappointed if I'm honest.

SW 16st 10lb
Currently 16st 7lb

Not much in the way of side effects. From reading everyone's comments it seems the more effected you are the bigger the loss.

FlappingMadly · 30/08/2024 23:36

I felt nausea first couple days after my first jab but have no symptoms with my second. Maybe a feeling of fullness. I ate pizza in spite of not wanting it and feeling like a shake instead. I’ve been thinking about that this evening. I need to respect what my body needs. My DH wouldn’t have minded if f I hadn’t eaten any, so it was entirely down to me. I haven’t been eating simple carbs with dinner. I’m so cross with myself.

TheShellBeach · 31/08/2024 00:22

Actually I've had very few side-effects, and I have lost 30lb in 9 weeks.

Rorpethy · 31/08/2024 06:22

I hope I am like you too @WitchDancer I honestly don't know how long I would be able to keep going if I felt that rough every single.week.

Ah thanks. I feel much better now, I don’t know what happened last night - it was so strange! Normally I don’t have side effects like pain.

Blondeshavemorefun · 31/08/2024 07:08

Glad you feel better @eeeeeeeee

It's is horrible feeling rough

I don't seem as nauseous this jab but def got some in body as was back to weeing every bloody 2hrs again in the night

I'm shattered again. All I wanted was a full good nights sleep esp as wasn't working and up at 11,12.2.4.6 for a wee ffs

Early morning non scale victory! I’m a volunteer and I wear a uniform but I haven’t put it on for 3+ weeks and the trousers are huge!! I’ll defo need to be sorting out the belt otherwise it could be rather embarrassing if I need to run down a street today 😂😂

Pinkjenny · 31/08/2024 08:19

First weigh in.

SW 14st 9.5
CW 14st 3.5

I am absolutely over the moon. Ran upstairs to tell dh who doesn't actually know and thinks I've managed to lose 6lb in a week with smaller portions and more healthy choices Hmm

NeedSomeAnswersPlease · 31/08/2024 08:21

SW - 20st11lbs
CW - 19s8.2lbs
GW1 - 18st13lbs

Finally dropped something this week! 9.2lbs to go to my first goal on nutracheck, happy scale has me at a different goal which is only 1.5lbs away 🤣

I wonder if the side effects have something to do with the weight you're at when you start

10 days in

SW 16st 4
CW 15st 12

Very happy to be out of the 16 stone bracket because I hadn’t even realised I’d got there. Just looking at my weight tracking on my scales app and two years ago I was at my lowest of 14st 8, and that was overweight.

Feeling very positive after my wobbly hungry day yesterday

troppibambini6 · 31/08/2024 08:42

Feeling very queasy this morning after my first 5mg jab yesterday. Hoping it wears off as the day goes on on the plus side I definitely couldn't eat anything 😆

FlappingMadly · 31/08/2024 08:48

@NeedSomeAnswersPlease that has been discussed at some length in other mounjato convo and there is no correlation. There are people with a lot of water weight - ie swollen legs. There is evidence of ‘super and (rarely) none responders. I read a lot before I committed. We’re all eating differently. different ages, different hydration levels, different fitness.

I was just wondering (in my very non scientific mind) if it's something to do with how much fat there is where you inject 🤣

FlappingMadly · 31/08/2024 08:52

@NeedSomeAnswersPlease i’ve wondered the same 🤣

I don't actually know how it gets into the blood from the fat, but surely the more there is the slower it'll be absorbed therefore less side effects?😂

Timetochange24 · 31/08/2024 09:09

One week in and I'm 6.5 pounds down! Very pleased with that as a starting point.

SW - 14 st/BMI 34.8
CW - 13 st 7.5/BMI 33.6
GW 1 - 12 st/BMI 29.9

Thankfully I've had no side effects so far until this morning. Had a small glass of whisky after my dinner yesterday and feel really queasy now. I've definitely noticed the appetite/craving suppression wearing off (hence the whisky!!) But as a positive, I took the dc for an end of summer mcdonald's yesterday and wasn't tempted by any of it. Normally I'd be hoovering up any leftovers and stealing fries.

Timetochange24 · 31/08/2024 09:12

I've also put a typical day's food (pre-medication) into MFP and it's no wonder I've been piling on the weight. 950 calories a day in snacks 🤦🏻‍♀️ I don't know how I thought that could work...

MabelSpan · 31/08/2024 09:20

Anyone else notice an improvement in their blood pressure?
I have had high (lower end, no meds) bp for at least 2yrs that I am aware since I became perimenopausal.
My GP has been asking for a weeks worth of readings for a while but I kept forgetting, then yesterday I took a reading and blow me down it, it was 120/80
I thought that was a fluke so repeated it and got 115/77!
Still not believing it I have just taken it again and will now do my 3x a day for a week for the GP and it was 123/80. 😀

I have been trying to reduce it through consuming walnuts, extra virgin olive oil and other things I cant remember atm, but as I am still heavier than I was last year I wasnt expecting this!

Also noticed that when bending down/forward the pulsing in my ears has gone!

I had read this might be another health benefit of mj, but I didnt think I would see such a rapid improvement, I am only on jab 3 at 2.5mg, this is fantastic! 😃

TrappedPotato · 31/08/2024 09:46

Hi everyone I started on MJ last week - jab day Friday. Strong suppression from the start and only a bit of nausea so very happy with that. It's so lovely to not feel hungry all the time and not constantly think about food! I'm going high protein and low cal and tracking in MFP. 5 lbs down in week one!
SW 11st 11lbs
Week 1: 11st 6 lbs.
