I genuinely don't understand why people wouldn't use the bonus dose, even if money were no object, but obviously it's no skin off my nose. I'd use it even if MJ were cheap, just because I hate waste.

It’s something I’m seriously thinking about because I don’t like wasting anything either and at 300 pounds per pen (for me) I’d be throwing away the equivalent of 60 pounds. I asked a friend who’s a doctor and she said why wouldn’t you use it?

NeedSomeAnswersPlease · 04/09/2024 15:52

@TheShellBeach very relatable 🤣 my belly just looks smaller, but not any narrower if that makes sense, I'm starting to get a pot belly

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/09/2024 16:08

@AnnieMcFanny why are your pens so costly ? £300 a pen 🙀🙀🙀

The most med express do is £210 for 15/maintenance

Feeling so cold today, I've seen people post about this before but up until today I was boiling. Not sure if it's the turn on the weather but husband says he thinks it's warm today.

AnnieMcFanny · 04/09/2024 16:33

@Blondeshavemorefun its shocking eh 🤣

I live in the Middle East. Not Dubai. But I have to source my pens through a clinic in Dubai who then provide them via an online pharmacy in the UK.

Believe it or not it’s actually cheaper doing it that way than having to go to Dubai and get them via a clinic providing the prescription. That would come in it between 400 - 450 pounds per pen plus the drive up there and a possible stay overnight as my days of going up and back again in one day are now over.

And I’ve just heard in the last few days that the medication is now available where I live at Dubai prices so even sourcing it here at home would be 400 - 450 pounds.

My provider is great and there’s a service I can have when at target that consists of zoom calls and a consultation with a Dr to cover maintenance at a cost of about 50 pounds per session. Any consultants I’d have now are about 20 pounds. Oh and the cost of my pens stay the same till Im at target - there’s no price increase as we go along.

Despite the cost I feel very fortunate to have the medication. 😀

Just had to abandon a workout I felt so sick. It’s been quite a few hours since I ate. I had a shake because I thought it might have been too long between meals but feel even yuckier. Bleugh.

Edited

Have you taken anything for the nausea?

FlappingMadly · 04/09/2024 17:24

@TheShellBeach no I haven’t taken anything. I noticed yesterday walking back from the shops i felt very icky and will time eating and activity differently, The nausea is already subsiding to manageable levels. My cat sat on my chest and purred like a tractor which helped too,

Eugh, I've got the sulphur burps, which I haven't had since my first week! Maybe it's because I haven't had as much peppermint tea as I have had other days? I'm really not liking it, whatever the reason 🤢

NippyCrab · 04/09/2024 17:50

@FlappingMadly OMG!! awww wow, I love cats, I miss mine they are such amazing little bosses, with perfect toe beans. I've forgotten what I was going to type about flab now I've seen this little gem.

NippyCrab · 04/09/2024 17:53

Has anyone started 5mg yet? There’s lots of posts to keep up with, so sorry if someone already has said!

I’m due to take my first higher dose tomorrow morning. Strangely my last week on 2.5mg has been pretty good, my appetite suppression lasted all week.

I’ll check my final weight on 2.5mg tomorrow too. I believe my final figure will be around 7kg lost. Feel a bit frustrated that it isn’t more, because I have been this weight recently, so I’ve just taken off the extra weight I gained in the last couple of months.

Hoping the next weight to come off will be where I start seeing some differences and see my old figure start to emerge. Can’t wait to lose weight on my legs, arms and back.

HamAlive · 04/09/2024 19:16

@eeeeeeeee I haven't yet, but will be taking mine Thurs or Fri. This is my 5th week on 2.5, dosed on Saturday and the suppression is still good, and I haven't had any 💩 incidents this week which is good!

Managed to get back into size 16 jeans today too, and comfortably!

7kg is still good, especially as this is only the starting dose. But I totally understand wanting the weight off.

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/09/2024 19:49

@eeeeeeeee I'm taking no 1 of 5 on Fri

Oh good for you! I bet the jeans were a massive confidence boost, well done!

I know what you mean about good loss
on the starting dose. However for me, my weight has yo-yo’d. I weighed the same as I do now on 1st July but gained 7kg in July. I was eating takeaways everyday etc.

So essentially I have just lost the same 7kg in August that I gained in July. Because it was all relatively close together it’s probably just water weight etc as opposed to any meaningful loss. That’s probably why it was easier to shift to begin with. Glad that it’s gone though but think my real weight loss journey starts now.

lookathatbookcase · 04/09/2024 20:08

@eeeeeeeee I'm on 3.75 - going to see how the next 2 days go before deciding whether to go up to 5 at the weekend, but the suppression is still pretty good so far.

Pinkjenny · 04/09/2024 20:37

I'm due to take dose 3 of 2.5 on Saturday but I've just ordered my 5mg pen so that I'm ready. Mainly because I'm a rule follower Blush

NippyCrab · 04/09/2024 21:06

I've decided I'm going to do a 2.5mg then 2 x 3.75mg with this next pen, then I'll order my 5mg pen and see how I feel about the 3.75 continuing.
Although I've felt good so far I can feel the effects of a slightly higher dose after taking the bonus 5th dose from my first pen. I wasn't sure whether it was because DH was home for his 4 days and I was busy or not but I think it was the MJ. I'm handling my ME etc well at the moment and although I don't mind some side effects, I don't want to be a burst cushion, especially with 2 dogs and a new puppy.
I did say I wouldn't micro dose but stuff it I'm being sensible (for a change)

Wingingit11 · 05/09/2024 06:14

@eeeeeeeee I am due next jab on new pen today /tomorrow and keep going back and forth whether to do 3.75 or 5! Feel a bit scared jumping to 5

eeeeeeeee · 05/09/2024 06:19

I have now taken my 5mg dose! Couldn’t wait any longer!

Unfortunately I’m coming down with a cold, so may be hard to figure out any side effects!

I ordered smart scales that measure body composition. I’ve wanted one of those fancy Tanita scales with body segments for a while but I just can’t justify the cost. I went for a Withings scale instead, and am weirdly buzzing for its arrival!

Willowy1982 · 05/09/2024 06:22

I'm on my third jab of 2.5mg now. I've lost 8lb in total. Hoping to see a few more off once I'm at at 4 weeks. Suppression has been good but I'll probably move up to 3.75 next before the big jump to 5mg. The goods news is I've been exercising more and for the first time in ages have felt over had the energy to do so. My fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis seems to have gone very quiet which is the best news!

eeeeeeeee · 05/09/2024 06:23

@lookathatbookcase oh that’s really interesting, I haven’t tried microdosing but I hope it goes well for you! Like @Pinkjenny I am a bit of a rule follower!

@Wingingit11 It is a bit scary isn’t it! I just went for it, I’ve heard mixed things about the side effects but luckily everything seems okay so far. Maybe try yours before bed, so you can sleep through the worst of it x

Wingingit11 · 05/09/2024 06:42

@eeeeeeeee I usually do after lunch as found best for only one day after feeling tat so need to decide this morning ! Maybe ill go wild and do 4 😅
