Achy legs

Hi, I'm only on my first week of 2.5, taken Saturday night.

Since Monday, I've had extremely achy legs. Not flu like, more like when you've over exercised. I have a dodgy knee which has been painful too even though I haven't been doing anything which would normally trigger the pain.

One of my side effects has been fatigue and so today I basically laid on the sofa all morning and the leg pain didn't appear until this afternoon when I started walking about and going up and down the stairs ect.

Has anyone else had this?

Actually yes, my legs (and hips) have been hurting – had not really connected it to Mounjaro as it’s the same pain I get sometimes around my period.

It’s dawned on me that it might be a side effect of eating fewer carbs? Leg pains are a well known issue for people on keto diets.

I find ibuprofen helps at night, when the pain keeps me awake. But last night I took magnesium not ibuprofen and it seems better today. And now I see people on keto boards suggesting magnesium is a good way to deal with the issue (it’s also useful for constipation according to a Mounjaro Reddit thread).

I have also felt tired – trying to adjust my eating now to be more healthful (feel like it’s possible now I’m a month into it). Any tips for tiredness gratefully received!
