If you are 5' 5" tall, would you mind saying how much you weigh and what size you are?

I've lost 2 stone after 3 months on Mounjaro. I'm now 87 kg. I was a size 18 then and still wear the same clothes, though they are noticeably baggier. I doubt a size 16 would fit me around the waist, though.

I'd love to know what size you are if you are or have been my weight or less, so that I can figure out what I can wear and when. For the first time in decades I'm looking forward to clothes shopping!

I'm very similar to you. 5ft 5 and have lost not quite 2 stone since starting in early May, so not a fast loser compared with others. Now weigh 12 stone 12.
At the moment, my clothes still fit. Some I had bought when I lost weight previously to just over 13 stone. They feel a bit less snug but, so far, they are still wearable. While that's the case, I don't want to spend money on new clothes in the hope that I would go down at least another size.

So far, the weight seems to have gone from my face, my bum (which now barely exists), my thighs and boobs. Still have my delightful saggy belly.

I was thinking of just buying some cheap jeans and leggings when I need to and wearing my existing, slightly baggier tops to get me closer to goal and then buying decent new clothes. But I mostly WFH so don't need smart work clothes most of the time.

I'm a touch under 5 foot 4 and I now weigh 10 stone 9 - down from 14 stone 12

I was a good size 16 (but lived in joggers / sports wear splits of stretch!) and I'm now a size 10/12

Ruthietuthie · 25/08/2024 23:45

I am 5 foot 4, and currently 10 stone 9 lbs too, down from 13 stone 10 lb. I was a size 16 or so, and am now a size 12, so pretty much like @AirBandUseless.

KATHSTYLE · 26/08/2024 07:46

I'm 5'4" and 9st12lbs

I'm a size ten on the bottom (/28 jeans) and a size 12 on top (big boobs - 36F)

MounjaroUser · 26/08/2024 10:24

This is great, thanks. I've no idea what weight I was in lower sizes.

I need to buy some new clothes but really don't want to get them in the same size. I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to going shopping and actually being happy with what I buy.

So great to hear of you all in smaller sizes - it must be a great feeling.

I’m a bit taller at 5’7. I started end of May at 107 kg, size 18 and I’m now 3 st down at 88 kg and size 14/16. It depends on the brand, but 18s/XL I can now swim in. I got a pair of jeans from H&M and the 16 was perfect. I also have some lose linen trousers from them - I was wearing the XL, now the L is big and the M is perfect. I was wearing a pair of trousers from Next in 18, but re-ordered in 14 and they were perfect fit. I think it really depends on the brand, but I’m between 1 and 2 sizes down now.

167cm weight 159lb wear 12/14. In July I was 153lb wearing a definite 12 in most things.

MounjaroUser · 26/08/2024 12:08

So at 10 stone 13 you were wearing a 12? That sounds great! Just three stone to go for me. The idea of wearing size 12 again blows my mind - haven't worn clothes that size since my adult children were born. I used to really love clothes and have hated them ever since - I can't wait to renew that relationship with them.

Has anyone bought anything nice that they couldn't have dreamed of wearing before?

As a fellow short person, 5ft, clothes sizes and what weight you are is just muddling! It takes me at least 2 stone weight loss to drop a size, being a size 12 is considered 'normal' I wear a size 12 when I'm 9st and filled a d cup bra still. Most people at 9st look skinny. I still looked curvy. I managed to get to 8st 7 once and got in to most size 10s. I virtually ate nothing to maintain than.

MounjaroUser · 26/08/2024 12:22

@Mumof1andacat What would be your ideal weight nowadays?

OP posts:
Mumof1andacat · 26/08/2024 12:26

9st so I could be a size 12. Trying to be a size 10 at 8st 7 was ridiculous. I was eating tiny portions and feeling unwell because I wasn't eating enough. I started my mounjaro journey this weekend. I have a lot to loose!

olympicsrock · 26/08/2024 14:02

5’6 and a half 168cm. I was 100 kg now 84 kg still wearing the same size 18 clothes mich looser though but also wearing some 16 tops.

I think when I get to 80kg or 12.5 stone my size 16 dresses will fit.

olympicsrock · 26/08/2024 14:02

Ideal weight would be 12 stone these days ( would be a 14 -16)

NewoIkkin · 26/08/2024 17:19

I’m 5’3”, currently 14.5 stone and a size 20. Based on my previous weights:

9st = size 10/12
10st = size 14
11st = smallish 16
12st = size 16/18
13st = size 18
14st = smallish 20
