About the extra dose?

Ive been getting all my info from you guys, (thanks) and reading about the extra dose you can get,

when do you take it? as it says the pen lasts for 4 weeks. do you take extra the same time as your 4th dose? so like 2 goes 1 after the other? or will that make me ill?

No don’t double dose on the same day! Not unless you want bad side effects.

1 week later take the extra dose at your normal time. If you dose on days 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 you are still within the 30 day window to use up your pen.

Move onto next pen a week later.

Yes I agree, it's a 5th dose 😍 if you get a little more than a full dose, it can be a good way to transition up to the next dose.

So if its only a small mount left as in not a full shot, i would take this as week 5?
meaning only getting half the amount?

thats where i was confused, thinking people were taking 4th then a bit extra same day

There are two ways to get to the 5th dose to use in your 5th week.

Hard twist - force the pen with pliers. When I did this I turned the pen to 1 and the plunger went down to the 6th click line. Meaning I got a very slightly short dose in my 5th week, you might get slightly less or the usual dose, but if it is a few clicks short the amount short is negligible.

Extract with a 1ml syringe - a full dose of any strength is 0.6ml. Most people get a little more when they extract the final liquid with a syringe. So either inject 0.6ml for a 2.5mg dose or calculate how much mg you get for the ml extracted and decide what you want to take. If you get 0.9ml for example it will be a 3.75mg which would be a stepping stone between 2.5mg and 5mg if that was what you were planning to do.

The main instructions to be aware of is stick to a dose strength for at least 4 weeks before increasing to avoid the risk of nasty side effects and discard the pen 30 days after first use.

There will be at least a full dose though, assuming you've followed the instructions carefully each week therefore not wasted any. There should in fact be a bit extra.

There is slightly more than a full dose left at the end.
