I have just finished my 4 doses of 2.5mg with very little side effects maybe a little nit of nausea the day after jab. I started my 1st 5mg jab yesterday about 11.30am I have been sick diarrhea (like water) sorry for the graphic details and stomach pain not sure if this is normal or should be seeking medical advice

You could try 111 online and see what happens. I would say firstly side effects are always a risk/possibility. There isn’t anything they can give you to reverse the medication it will wear off on its own. They would just treat you for D&V the normal way unless you had overdosed. You can take rehydration sachets, buscopan etc as normal.

Secondly if you weren’t on the injection and you had one day of D&V would you seek medical advice? If you are in agony with your stomach then call 111. You can decide whether to go back to the smaller dose or carry on but the medication is optional. Gastric effects are common.

Ahhhh this happened to me too. I took the 'bonus dose' which was just over 3mg and I had a day of feeling like you are. I was then too afraid to go up to 5mg the following week so I did 3.75mg and the same thing happened again. I was prepared to go back down to 2.5mg but decided to have one more try on 3.75mg which was last Thurs and so far so good. I plan to do two more doses on 3.75mg to finish this pen (will bin the unused extras). Have a new 5mg pen ready, will stick to 3.75ng until the suppression lessons then will give 5mg a go.

Hopefully your body will adjust, like mine did!

Yes, it's normal. My provider, SecondNature, have clinical support. When I was extremely ill with D&V, in that it didn't stop for 12 hours they advised it's normal unless:

  1. you get pain from front to back of abdomen which could indicate acute pancreatitis

  2. you can't keep water down and get too dehydrated

But I was absolutely no way going to A&E unless I was on death's door and I told them as much.

Apparently the risk is when you go up a dose. My body just couldn't seem to tolerate 7.5mg.

I'm back on 5mg now and hoping it will settle.
