GERD? - Sore throat

I have been on Mounjaro for three weeks and have noticed a sore throat. I wake up in the morning and it is fine, then after lunch I start to get a burning sensation in my throat which feels really incomfortable. I have never been one to suffer with indigestion and a first I thought I had got a sore throat from using a fan when it was hot. I don't get heartburn in the chest, just this sore throat. It feels burning and red raw then will go only to come back. Does this sound like acid reflux to you? I don't have regurgitation and I am not excessively gassy.

Yes, I am a lifelong GERD sufferer and sore throat is a common way it manifests for me. You may also have a sour taste in your mouth?

Nexium is the best thing to take to keep it under control. (I get the same drug in prescription but you can buy OTC. Don’t mess about with Gaviscon etc, waste of time.)
