Anyone not eating enough?

I'm 1.5 weeks in on 2.5mg MJ. I'm a bit concerned that I'm not eating enough. But also can't be bothered to make a bigger deal of breakfast or lunch.

Tbh the weekday breakfast//lunch thing was there before MJ. But then I'd "make up for it" on the evening which I'm not doing now.

Yesterday...
B: 2 bananas
L: protein yoghurt pouch
D: lamb curry and rice. (Glass of wine)

How does that sound?

It doesn't sound good, not enough nutrition or protein for a start and no where near 5 a day.

If you can only stomach tiny meals that's fine but they need to be more varied and balanced

Calorie wise it really depends on the ingredients and portion size of the curry and the rice. I agree that more veggies in there would help. Is that a typical day atm?

You could try and have one banana and a handful of berries to mix it up a bit? You could have your protein yogurt on the fruit.

Tuna or chicken salad is good for lunch.

Personally I would look for a healthier dinner option too, leaner meat and get lots of veggies in.

Impossible to say if you're 'eating enough', are you counting calories? The lamb and wine would rack up the calories. But obviously there's better ways to get calories in.

I would advise counting calories, even just for a couple of weeks if you don't like it, that helps you to see that you're getting enough protein and calories.

Hope you can find a balance that works for you 😊

Yeh, unfortunately I echo what others have said.

You NEED to eat - you need a decent amount of calories a day, and focus on protein. Your food that day lacks protein big time. You should aim for at least 1 g of protein per 1 kg of your body weight.

I'd swap out the 2 bananas for a protein shake (if you make it at home, whack that banana in and make yourself a protein banana milkshake), but also you get at least 25-30g of protein in your very first meal of the day.

Lunch & dinner - easiest to aim for protein and veg (nice leafy green salad, with grilled chicken or turkey or prawns) - another light option but good amount of protein + fiber.

A lot of everyday items have high protein options too (wraps, bagels, cheese) - if that's what you want to eat - if you make a swap you get an easy protein win.
Cottage cheese and eggs are also great source of protein; as are lentils and tofu.

Snack/Dessert - protein yog, pud, or bar works a treat - hits the spot if you craving something sweet, but also BAM! - another 20-30 g of protein.

I'm worried about this , I'm eating virtually nothing some days.

What dose are you on? Can you eat more a few days after the injection to make up for it?

It is normal to not have much appetite especially as you’re just starting out, however I would urge you to eat, with focus on protein.

This feels like too few calories and very little protein. Maybe do a protein shake in the morning if you can’t stomach anything else.

I think this is the hardest thing with MJ - you know you need to eat but it's just so easy to forget to eat and when you do you get full so quickly or don't fancy it.

I try to get around this by having my meals planned and make sure they're v protein rich. I have a protein shake once a day as I find that a good way to get protein and calories in and even if it takes me 2 hours to drink at least I know I've had it. I add a frozen banana, some almond butter, some green powder and any other fruit/spinach etc to get the nutrients and calories up.

I have days when it's hard to eat too.

I usually have eggs. And precooked chicken chopped into a basic salad gets me by. And I snack on raw almonds

My kids are away so I haven't been to the supermarket in forever.
