Mounjaro week 1

Just completing week 1
I would summarise it as

Day 1- starting to work
Day 2- horrible mouth, thirsty and nausea
Day 3- continued nausea and still not able to eat anything
Day 4- perfect, less hunger, small meals and no side effects
Day 5- hunger starting to return
Day 6- bloody ravenous!

Does this get better?? Have lost a lot (2.5kgs) and if maintenance means I feel like day 4 every day then great but dreading injecting again tomorrow and having another 3 days of utter misery.

Your body is getting used to it. The side effects will reduce. Make sure you drink plenty of water.

It's true that your body is probably freaking out wondering what the hell you e given it! I keep thinking of it as a scene in the movie Inside Out with them all scurrying around wondering who/what this new character is that's suddenly there 😂

I am in my 6th week now and can frankly say that every one of them has been different!

I have the metallic taste and raging thirst permanently though. Have not had any nausea but have had both constipation and diarrhoea 😩 Have to say that this week has been like your day 4👍 (so I’m kinda waiting for it all to go wrong🤦‍♀️)

Maybe some of those reactions are sugar withdrawal. It’s a big change in eating after all.
