Started Mounjaro 2.5 last Sunday. Anyone worried about the needle……don’t. It’s tiny, my partner injected me and I didn’t feel a thing. It’s amazing, I haven't craved anything naughty and have no desire to pick throughout the day. Usually I’m always thinking about food and struggle to control my portion size. I’ve just had 3 small healthy meals and a protein shake. I’ve had minimal side effects just a slight dry mouth the first day or two and the odd headache. I did feel uncomfortably full the day after but I was still testing my portion size. It definitely wore off a bit by the Thursday but it was still enough to take the edge off. I also enjoyed a glass of wine last night, with no nasty side effects.
I feel great and have been to the gym several times. Really happy with my decision to start and feel it’s worth the money after struggling for 16 months to lose the baby weight. C-section and pnd really put me at my worst with my weight.
Aftet lots of research I went with Voy and am super happy with my choice. Read lots about the cheaper companies being a bit unreliable and didn’t want to take the risk with something like this. I think the extra money is worth it for the reliability and peace of mind. I joined on the Wednesday, had a video call with a nutritionist/coach of my choice on the Thursday and received the medication on the Friday along with a pen holder and sharps box. I’ve had a WhatsApp chat with my coach midweek which I found kept my focus and can contact her this way anytime. It’s £229 a month but if you download the app it goes down to £199 (Don’t do this straight away, they email you the offer) and stays this price for your first 4 pens (10mg). You only move up a dose if you want to, if you feel it’s working you can stay on that dose. The app tracks everything and has lots of info.
if anyone has any questions I’m happy to help. And here is a 50% off discount code for your first month if needed 😄

Just a little update…..After 3 weeks on mounjaro 2.5 I’ve lost a total of 11lb. Absolutely thrilled with that after being stuck 3.5 stone heavier after my last child and basically putting more weight on 🤦🏻‍♀️
My starting weight was 17st 4
Week one loss 5lb
Week two loss 3.5lb
Week three loss 2.5lb
Putting me at 16st 7lb today.
Im really happy with the rate of loss as im still enjoying a glass of wine on a Saturday and the odd treat. Had a few social gatherings too this week with a few cocktails so 2.5 is amazing. Previously, I would have fallen right off the wagon after one bad day and put it all back on but Mounjaro just stops me thinking about food which I didn’t think was possible. Im eating 3 small meals a day with a protein shake mid afternoon, sometimes it’s a struggle but have managed to keep my calories above 1300 every day.
Ive had very few side effects, dry mouth, slight nausea and bloating plus a bit of constipation but its all very manageable. I will be moving up a dose next week but am considering 3.7 instead of the full 5 as have done so well on 2.5.
Highly rate Voy and glad I chose them. My coach has messaged me every Wednesday and helped me choose and stick to my goals and suggested some helpful food tips. I rang them to tweak my delivery date and they were very helpful. Code above if anyone wants.

Happy to help if anyone needs it 😀
If you’re considering it just go for it. Best decision I’ve made for my health and self esteem.

Just a little update. Week 4 = 3lb loss taking me to the 1 stone mark! Absolutely amazed as I haven’t been able to get more than 4lb off the last 16 months (since having my son and pnd) without falling off the wagon and piling it all back on plus and extra lb or two 🤦🏻‍♀️
Started 5mg on Sunday and did feel nauseous and tired the first two days but took some anti sickness pills which helped a lot.
Day 3 and no symptoms at all. I’ve had fruit and yogurt for breakfast and egg salad for lunch and no urges to overeat at all.
Moujaro truly is a miracle for anyone struggling with their weight and mindset. I’m already massively rethinking my previous portion sizes and building good habits for when I came off.
VOY are still an amazing provider and are offering 35% off with this:

My weight loss coach checks in several times a week and I can WhatsApp her whoever I need to about anything. She’s called Yvonne and is lovely and very supportive. I needed to change my delivery date next month as am going on holiday and it was done with one WhatsApp. This months delivery was bang on time, cold and discreetly packaged. Anyone considering it just go for it, I have no regrets. Happy to answer any questions anyone has 😀

Hello!
Well done on the 2 stone loss - amazing effort!!
As no one has responded I just wanted to say your post and updates were really helpful to read - I’m about to start later today hopefully if my stuff arrives and I’m starting at a similar number to you!
Will follow this thread with interest!
Good luck for continuing success!

I've been doing this for 4 weeks and I've lost a stone. I'm shocked at how effective MJ has been for me. Well done on your weight loss.

Whatintheholywoah · 15/08/2024 09:52

Aww thank you. I’m so happy it’s finally coming off! Would recommend Mounjaro to anyone who’s struggling with their weight. Have felt awful the past year and thought I would never break the cycle.

@Slip58 It’s been a game changer for me, very little side effects hopefully you’ll be the same. I always inject last thing at night as you sleep through the initial kicking in. Let me know how it goes. Good luck 😀

@Uberbeeboo have you started 5mg yet? I’m feeling a bit nauseous but it is improving. Going on holiday in 3 weeks so hoping to shift another half a stone 🤣

So end of week 5 and my first week of 5mg I’ve lost another 3lb which is brilliant as it’s also my ladies time 🤣 total lost is now 1st 3lb. Can’t believe it, Mounjaro is a total miracle drug! I feel so much better in myself and actually wore a dress and felt nice when I went out last night instead of feeling self conscious. Still have another 3 stone minimum to go but am confident I can do it with Mounjaro. I realised I don’t know how/when to come off it so will be speaking to voy this week to get all the facts and am still really happy I chose a provider I can reach out to for in depth information and support. Will definitely be sticking with them til the end and would recommend them as a provider if you are anxious about starting as it really does give that peace of mind you’re in expert hands. I think the joining offer has changed now to 35% off but still worth it as they offer a premium service.

As I upped my dose to 5mg, I had a bit of nausea on days 1-3 and had to take anti sickness pills. Luckily I had some travel sickness pills called Promethazine (Phenergan) at home so took those but have also ordered some cyclizine from med express which is what a gp would prescribe just in case it continues. It was at its worst on day one so I had to skip the gym but managed to go day 2, 3 and 5 so happy with that. It didn’t stop me doing anything else though and I still managed to hit my calorie target etc but would definitely recommend getting some anti sickness meds in as it helped loads.

After week 6 and 2 weeks on 5mg I’ve lost a total of 1 stone 7lb. All my clothes are baggy and I’m looking forward to rummaging through my pre pregnancy clothes this week to see what fits. 😆 My son is 17 months so it’s been a long while 😂
Im halfway through week 3 on 5mg and no symptoms this week but definitely not feeling the suppression as strongly but I’m really happy about this. I’ve still kept my portions the right size and I already feel I’m training myself with the Mounjaro to eat more wisely which I will need to keep doing when i finish the drug.

7 weeks on Mounjaro and I’m down one stone ten and a dress size. Still got about 2.5 - 3 stone to go but know I can get it off this time. I’m going on holiday Thursday and I’ve decided to tweak my injection day as I don’t want to take my own or be ill on holiday. I’ll be Injecting 4-5 days late but it will be a good chance to practice what I’ve learned and still make good choices…..
Still happy with Voy they are sending my next pen a few days early to make sure I get it before I go all done via WhatsApp. I’m definitely going to stay with them as my bmi is approaching 30 and I’m happy with the service.

Just got back from holiday and decided to take a week off so I could enjoy the week with my family without feeling unwell or being unable to enjoy family meals. I will be injecting tonight after 14 days off, the mounjaro wore off after about 6 days but I still only wanted small meals and hardly had dessert I was actually choosing fruit 🤷🏻‍♀️🤣 I did have alcohol pretty much every day and we were all inclusive so there was a lot of food on offer. I have just weighed and only put on 1.5 lb which is amazing for me as my period is due tomorrow and I do retain a lot of water at this time. I made another post about the holiday and a couple of people were very judgemental about taking a week off but I don’t regret it at all. Even while taking mounjaro I still have treats with my voy coaches support. I’m not on a diet and no food is bad, portion size and balance is key. Depriving myself and having a strict limited diet doesn’t work for me and I definitely don’t want to be super restrictive all my life. I’ve lost almost 2 stone with this balanced approach and am 100% confident I can maintain with it.
Im still really happy with voy and have asked about the end this week. They will supply Mounjaro until a bmi of 22.5 then it will be my choice to just stop or taper off with their support.
