Switching from wegovy to MJ

Has anyone done this? I decided to swap after a month off of wegovy and I just wondered if anyone else has switched? (Month off due to holidays)

If so have you noticed any difference?

Reason for switching was price and to see if weight loss is quicker on MJ.

Starting MJ tomorrow if anyone has any tips. Thanks.

I'm also interested in this. have been on Wegovy for months and on full dose for 3 months plus. I had to take a break (illness, not related) and so I don't feel it's necessarily working all that well, even iv'e been back up to full speed for a while. If i'm paying so much money I would like the strongest/most effective option.

Can someone who has switch from W to MJ advise on how best to do it? the online supplier I've used to date is not likely to be all that helpful with the advice

I switched from .5 Wegovy to 5 Mounjaro with no break. Had no side effects , but it isn’t what’s advised. I find MJ lets a lot more food noise through than Wegovy, but I couldn’t cope with the Wegovy side effects

I've switched as didn't feel wegovy was having much weight loss effect. (Didn't have any side effects though). Applied for Munjaro and was told You're meant to have 2 clear weeks without injecting if changing between between one product & going onto another.

I felt Wegovy was too slow an intro (starting at .25 first month then .5 a month later) whereas munjaro starts at 2.5 which feels more pro-active . I'm due to start it this Friday...

I was only on wegovy for a few weeks on lowest dose before deciding to swap so can't really give much experience. But I do know that a lot of people have successfully swapped over. Generally it seems that it takes longer /higher doses to feel the effects of mounjaro after switching from wegovy. Possibly because you might have built up a bit of a tolerance to GLP meds? Also, generally people that have swapped have been happier on Mounjaro, once at a higher dose. Less side effects and faster weight loss.

I'm starting MJ today on the lowest dose so will report back.

Highest I got on Wegovy was 1mg as that was enough for last few months.

Interesting to hear that food noise might not be as absent as with wegovy.
