If you are diabetic, will the injections still work for weight loss?

Yes.

My relative (with weight related diabetes) has been using W and then M for the last year.

The W medication was originally developed as a medication to manage the symptoms of diabetes.

If you are going the private prescription route you should make sure you answer the online questionnaires the pharmacies use truthfully and accurately and allow them to inform your GP as you have a related health condition.

However it is worth discussing with your GP whether they will prescribe on NHS (fairly unlikely but do ask) or if they will write you a private prescription, ie GP prescribes but you pay.
