I've been taking Orlistat for a few weeks now, and have lost about 5lbs (I had a break whilst on holiday). Generally the guide is to stick to 45g of fat per day, that's around 15g per meal, and count your calories too (I have about 1400 but you can calculate this yourself on tdee website). To track my calories and water intake I use Nutracheck. Basically as long as you stick to the above guides you will have minimal side effects, although be prepared for some as your body gets used to it. There are some support groups on FB that have helped me with all of this xxx good luck!
