Delivery delay

Hi,
Med express got parcel ready Friday, received by Royal mail Saturday, delivered to me today.
Both ice packs completely defrosted but cool, medication felt room temperature and definitely not cold. I'd ordered early and won't be using it for 2 weeks. It won't be any good for the full 4 doses if I don't use for 2 weeks will it?

Is it wegovy or munjaro?

If it is munjaro there is no problem for sure

If MJ, can be kept out of the fridge for up to 3 weeks so no problem if you pop that in the fridge; Ozempic has to be kept at room temp or colder after first use but if it arrives cold, it can be used but MUST be used/discarded within 56 days.

Same thing happened to me but I'm with Voy. It was warm (used my pizza oven infrared thermometer to check 😂) 22 degrees on arrival. Messaged them and they immediately dispatched a second pen which arrived the next day. I read the box and it says that it's stable at temperatures up to 30 degrees for 30 days. So essentially when it hits higher than the 8 degrees which is a medical fridge temp, it's shelf life reduces to 30 days. So you've got 9 days basically to store it before starting it if you want to get your full 4 weeks dose from it.

I didn't think to check the tenprature of it! I've just checked the leaflet too definitely says 30 days.

1. How to store Mounjaro KwikPen

Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children. Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the pen label and on the carton after EXP. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month. Store in a refrigerator (2 °C – 8 °C). Do not freeze. If the pen has been frozen, DO NOT USE. Mounjaro KwikPen can be stored unrefrigerated not above 30 ºC for up to 30 days and then the pen must be discarded.

Medexpress have said I shouldn't use the pen after the 1st August taking it to 30 days. So as I hadn't planned to start that pen until the 19th and had ordered early due to holidays/away at families and wanting to take it with me that makes 2 doses useless!

That's unhelpful isn't it. Surely they can count from your previous orders based on 4 doses in each pen that you wouldn't need it just yet. I ordered yesterday for a Friday delivery but like you won't need it for a couple of weeks. I have to schedule deliveries carefully around when I'm in to receive!

Yes. They also allow you to order 2 weeks after your last prescription! I'm able to re order on the 11th July, although its not needed until the 1st August with two doses from the pen I can only use half of now!

To be fair it was packaged well and I think had the weather been different it would have survived. But I've not seen it stated anywhere that when sending it should be used within 30 days.
