Continuation thread for the June 2024 Mounjaro starters.

Jab 4 tomorrow and I have finally left the 13's! 8lb loss since 15th June. I've just ordered 5mg.

It's very pleasing to see the BMI scale go down (ignoring that I'm still obese!) as well.

I've weighed a day early as not around tomorrow. After my first week on 5mg I've lost 4lbs. So happy with that because I did actually put on between jab 3/4 but now I've lost more than I had put on.

I hadn't checked bmi in a while so thought I would look and can see I'm still very much in obese. I played with the numbers to see how far until I'm in overweight and it's another 2 stone 😅 more than I thought. But at least it's given me the kick up the bum I need. I really want to get out of obese.

So have just finished week 5 and I am 16lbs down.

Still a long way to go but really hoping this pen carries on suppressing the hunger for the next 3 weeks and can get some good weight loss . 🤞

@JomonotFomo oh no. I hope you feel better next week 🤞 it does feel a lot stronger on 5mg I'm finding and I have a constant feeling like I'm full to the brim. Hoping it doesn't last forever either. Well done on your amazing loss though

I've just done the same with BMI figures and I need to be 9 stone to ever so slightly leave the overweight category. Don't think that will ever happen (not even sure I would want it to!). I'm happy with anything in the 10's.

Loving all your success stories. I am starting on super low dose on Monday and would appreciate it someone could put a link to previous threads.

I’d lost 6lbs first two weeks on 2.5ml but only 1/2 llb this week, have definitely felt hungrier this week after the first few days, but snacking urges not returned and motivation to eat healthy still in place. Slight disappointed but scales going in right direction and I struggle to loose weight with a busy but sitting down job so taking it as a win. I’d also stayed with the 2.5ml for taking away on holiday with me as I was worried about side effects, so will definitely be increasing my dose when I return.

@tellmeitsnotjustme12 im the same near end of week 3 at the most I’ve lost 0.5-1lb and felt more hungry yesterday hit 1500c for first time since I’ve started. However I’ve lost 10lbs in 3 weeks and lost an inch off my waist, bust and hips each! Which I’m super pleased with. We go on holiday next week it’s still self catering but it will be less exercise probably so hoping I can at a min maintain.

I have just posted on the discount code thread so I hope you don’t mind me posting the same here as I am joining in with taking Mounjaro after reading your inspirational posts!
Since November, I have lost over 2.5 stone on Wegovy but for the last 6 weeks, it has had little effect. So I have bitten the bullet and have just ordered Mounjaro, so will be starting again at the lowest dose. Hopefully this will put my brain back in gear and quieten the food noises again! On the brighter side, the weight loss I have achieved has made me feel much better and given me more confidence. I have also started exercising again.

I’ve just checked my BMI points out, and I have about 9 more stone to lose before I’d hit a healthy BMI, great 😂 I can remember weighing that as a teenager and I was very slim, so I’m not sure that is ever a possibility or even necessary. I am quite broad and I suppose BMI won’t take that into account. 14st 10lbs would get me to “overweight” so I think that would be a good aim for the time being, that’s about 5.5st away. I can reassess then. I’m pretty tall, and it tickles me that my goal weight is more than some peoples start weight 🤦‍♀️😂

I did my third jab last night and appetite suppression is back today with a vengeance. I was walking around M&S foodhall and just felt a bit sick at all the options - usually I just chuck the whole lot in my trolley.

Also contacted voy and they are happy for me to stay on 2.5ml for the next pen which is great.

@OrangeWire im a shortie so my start weight is lower than your goal weight but it had me firmly in the obese category. Ironically my “healthy” weight is 9.5st and I can’t ever remember being that light even as a teenager. At 10.5st I was size 12 but to maintain that I’d have to exist on 1000-1200c a day which without MJ is so so hard. I hope you can meet your target.

I'm going to start the 5mg a week early.

There will be 5mg left in the pen after I've had my third dose, so I'm going to go for it.

I've only had one dose of 2.5mg so far. There is definite appetite suppression but not enough to stop me eating too much. Not yet, anyway.

It's only been three days since the first jab, though. I suppose I might change my mind. We'll see.

The purpose of staying on 2.5 for 4 weeks is to slowly build up the dose in your body. It's also not meant to be a dose to get suppression on, some are lucky and do get this, but it's perfectly normal not to.
