I understand what it is/does and reasons for and against.

Please can anyone offer advice on how much they spend either over say 12 weeks, every month or say over 3months to offer an idea on costs?

Also if the starting dose remains effective for appetite suppression and some weight loss can you remain on this for longer?

Similarly if side effects are strong and still effective for weight loss, do you stay on the same dose?

Depends who you buy with. Currently a lot of people are buying with Zava as they offer 15% off for initial orders. Also they have a referral offer that gives you 15% off future orders if someone uses your referral code.

If you start on 2.5mg then the first pen at Zava is £139 + postage. With a 15% discount that works out as roughly £125 for your first pen.

Most people do want to move up to 5mg on the next pen. This is the same price at Zava £139 + postage. If you don't get anyone using your referral code, this would work out as about £145.

Some people choose to stay on 5mg, but if you want to go up to 7.5mg, the price is £169, 10mg is £189 and 12.5mg and 15mg is £204 plus postage.

If you feel the side effects are strong on any dose, you can stay on it for as many months as you want. You don't need to go up the doses quickly if you don't want to.

Also something to note, each pen has a bonus dose so they last an extra week.

Also, some people choose to stay on the lower doses and don't go up dosage in pens. If you are still losing you don't need to go up the dosage

My first pen was £140 ish from Voy. I benefited from using a discount code on here for £85 off, then someone has kindly used mine so my next pen is £115.

I would just say, don't just consider the cost of the meds. I am no longer buying wine a few times a week, chocolate lasts for ages, no takeaways, smaller portions....and I don't feel deprived like I usually do. A takeaway a couple of times a month and wine easily pays for a months worth. I am saving tons of money not buying the food I'd normally eat so I think it balances out.

Thanks for the advice.
The cost isn't a particular issue but good to know for planning and will def look out for discount codes.

Doing lots of reading about dosing and side effects etc.
I have approx 3 stone to lose to be in a mid range bmi.

I'm not sure what's stopping me from ordering. Just getting my ducks in a row I guess.

Pop over to the Mounjaro threads and ask for a code when ready. Good luck

TwoHoots74 · 24/06/2024 21:39

Not sure if this is allowed but I have a discount code for Voy if you'd like it?
They're not the cheapest option but I've had great service from them. You also get a 1-1 telephone consultation with a nutritionist and they WhatsApp you weekly and you can message them wherever you need help or support

It's worked out at about £30 a week but I use the additional 5th dose and the cost does rise slightly at higher doses so that weekly amount will be less to begin with most likely.
