Just thought I'd share what a 2 stone 8 lb weight loss looks like on a fairly short (5 ft 3.5 inches!) woman.

I did weight over 14 stone and I'm 11 stone something now. Couple of stone to go!

I'm not a natural model as you can see and I know the clothes are different and not tight but hopefully you'll see a difference as I'm not sure I can

I've just done Mounjaro and stuck with MJ

Really huge difference between photos! Out of curiosity what dress size were you before/after?

WithAliceAforethought · 11/06/2024 11:44

@Drttc that's a tricky one! I wear a lot of Hush / Scamp & Dude/ Sweaty Betty and White company. All of which are very ... stretchy! So what fit me then fits me now, just better

But I was a good size 14-16 before and I'm a size 12 right now I'd say but depends on the brand. I can get my jeans back on so that's a start

Definite slimming down, you're looking great.

Can I ask what side effects you've experienced and how old you are? Were the injections prescribed by a doctor?

I'm the same size/weight to you when you started, an inch taller and am really curious about the injections, but I'm also menopausal and not convinced anything will shift my fat!

I'm a big foodie and I eat pretty healthily, drink alcohol once or twice a week, don't eat junk food.

WithAliceAforethought · 11/06/2024 11:56

@Bimblepops I'm very perimenopausal. Been a nightmare tbh but I've felt loads better in recent months as the MJ has somehow given me more energy m
I'm 52 and was feeling every one of those years in March!

I've never had real appetite suppression , I've never had a feeling of being full and I've never had any side effects on 2.5 - I bought it privately through Medexpress

What it's done for me is just - for some weird reason - stopped all the food noise (I was eating lots of cheese, chocolate, pizza and ice cream before - no proper meals, just a nice little graze all day long) and now I can make better choices , eat smaller portions and - crucially - I exercise quite a bit

Honestly - give it a go. I've got no intention of going up a dose and I'm using this time to just try and cement on good habits and 'working with' the MJ

@Bimblepops oh and nothing was shifting my weight. Just couldn't lose more than a few pounds and then they'd come straight back. Was hard to focus

That's really helpful, thank you @WithAliceAforethought
It's much less drastic than the liposuction etc that I've been musing on!

WithAliceAforethought · 11/06/2024 12:01

Ha, liposuction hurts! I've been there too!

Read up and consider it. The 2.5 isn't very much and you may find it works for you - especially given that you're already half way there with a healthy eating pattern

@WithAliceAforethought

Same situation here with me. I've just gone up to 5mg. No side effects except a bit more tired than usual.

Got mine from Asda doctor online

WithAliceAforethought · 11/06/2024 12:30

@OhHelloMiss that's good then - I've read about some awful side effects for some people!

I'm hoping to complete the whole thing on 2.5 if I can

Thank you for sharing! Really helpful to be able to visualise where we might be when we've only just started.

WithAliceAforethought · 11/06/2024 13:03

@AnnaDor good luck with it! It's a very smooth journey for lots of people

You are looking great!! I am on wegovy now. Really slow progress but have so much more energy. I’m still at 0.5 so I am going to drop more when the dose goes up. I have noticed my face and belly is leaner. I don’t weigh myself because I am dense ! I was a size 8 and at 5ft 9 still weighed in at 9.5st. So I reckon about 15 now at size 16/18. I’m 56 so I guess it’s normal to be slower.

WithAliceAforethought · 15/10/2024 12:58

@Luciev thank you! I'm a couple more stone down now so getting there - currently 9 stone 7

I'm impressed you don't weigh yourself! Will you base it off how you feel in your clothes etc?

Well done @WithAliceAforethought , you’re looking great though you looked a lot slimmer than I do when you started! I’d love to be 9st 7! Only 4st to go!
