Questions Wegovy

Hi,
Sorry for the new thread - I'm hoping to start Wegovy next week, can I ask a few questions?

  1. How did you choose which product/injection you wanted?
  2. Do you have to do the same day of the week every week? What happens if you're on holiday?
  3. What about cheat days? I know this sounds daft but I'm booked to go to an all you can eat restaurant in 5 weeks. I would like to actually be able to eat at it- would I be able to?

Thanks so much in advance

  1. It’s up to you, research which one you think sounds like it suits you. Repeat.. research
  2. Yes. Take it with you on holiday
  3. cant answer this seems like a contradiction. This medication is expensive and intended to help with weight loss by suppressing your appetite and can cause nausea. You can go out to eat and no one can answer you how much you will be able to consume. I don’t believe in cheat days they are pointless just eat the things you like in moderation rather than continue the cycle of over eating

Thank you. I think part of my question was what do I research? I can't seem to see much difference between Wegovy and Mounjaro?

this is mostly as good as it gets really, as each person responds differently, however if you don’t get on with one you can try the other one so it’s possible to change. MJ has come out better in studies I believe. They have different ingredients, MJ is looking more effective from what I’ve read but they both have a similar purpose

I definitely could not do cheat days. Eating too much on injectibles is not enjoyable at all. I once threw up after 2 slices of pizza.

I just don’t want to do “cheat days” on Mounjaro. I can have some days where I can eat more or eat richer food but I just wouldn’t want to do an “all you can eat” buffet while on Mounjaro

It took four months for wegovy to work for me. Basically not until the 2.4 ml dose. Doctor reassured me this is not uncommon. No side effects. You won't want cheat days as you ll find yourself leaving most of the meal. I think I must have wasted alot of money leaving food in restaurants and cafes in last six months. Completely lost any inclination to drink alcohol and I loved gin before. Good luck!

Mounjaro seems to be cheaper than Wegovy.
