Still on 2.5 dose, not calorie counting and exercise is out due to damaged knees, the reason I'm trying to lose the weight.

watch the video @Kilimounjaro on how to inject. I watched it twice last Sunday and then I did it and didn’t feel it. But I did feel bit odd a few hours later plus headache. I’ve had really good appetite suppression it’s been amazing. I hope it goes ok for you, think big picture your feel better lighter.

@coffeandteav Hope you feel better soon! i did my forth last night too… Definitely having a stall week, Don’t think I’ve lost half a lb since last week 🙈

That’s interesting so does it mean MJ only last 5 days? I’m on day6 and definitely hungrier today.

It does have a half life of 5 days I think I read somewhere.

just did my last dose of 2.5 with an extra dose. its been a bit of a faff and i was going in and out 4 times to make sure its working? I forcefully pushed it past 1 which then dislodged the pen. I then took it out put it on 1 and did full dose. took it out and pushed it forcefully further and went back in to finish bonus dose 🥶 would probably get a bruise tomorrow. is there a right way to do it?

24hrs in and feeling good. My main issue is the injection site is sore but I definitely jabbed it too hard. Won’t make the same mistake again.

I woke up feeling not at all hungry which is mad considering how little I ate yesterday. I’m back at the gym so need to make sure I fuel for that so having protein granola, Greek yog and fruit

First weigh in and I’ve lost around half a stone. I’ve eaten well and been satisfied and have had no side effects so far.

What are you all eating? I know it’s supposed to be only 500cal deficit a day and I’ll have had something more than that as I was overeating before. I don’t count calories but I’m sure the deficit is bigger. I’ve felt fine on it with lots of protein as v paranoid about losing muscle and hair. Hoping for steady loss.

well after my hungry day yesterday I feel ok today. I’m just made myself eat a late breakfast of yogurt or I get light headed but I wasn’t feeling hungry. I’m 6.5lbs down at the moment on wk1-day6 which is just mental! I’m prepared for a 1-2lb loss next week in comparison but I’m 1/2inch off my waist which I can feel in my trousers. I’ve done lots of exercise this week too so I’m having an easier day today pottering in the garden weeding.

@Imnewtothisandnervous half that weight will be water probably but I’ve lost the same by eating 1200-1400c a day plus exercising and fasting min14hrs. But I’m in my 50s and menopause massively slowed my metabolism. In my late 30s I would have got that kind of loss eating 1500c a day then it slows to 1-2lbs a week. In menopause years without the drug I’m lucky if I can drop 0.5lb a week at the most. It’s fascinating the impact it’s definitely having on my glucose levels I think as I’m just not craving sugar at all and only eaten fruit as a sweet treat instead of chocolate or biscuits as I don’t fancy them!

@Summerslimm thank you thats good to know. I lost around a stone earlier in the year 5:2 losing around 2lbs a week but my period is always the kicker. I need more and crave salt and eat emotionally and then it’s hard to get back on track. If the injection addresses this I may actually be able to sustain something… fingers crossed

Weighing daily here (I get less stressed about the up and down fluctations that way) - two weeks and two days in and I'm nearly 10 pounds down. Felt OK in my outfit for the Taylor Swift concert last night and even liked the photos for the first time in what feels like forever so that IS a win.

I've ordered my second pen with Zava, so thanks to the person upthread whose code I used to make it cheaper. It arrived still cold and the approval was very quick despite moving up while changing suppliers.

Took my first dose this morning. I’m not convinced I did it completely right, I think I twisted it too much when I was meant to be priming it so probably didn’t actually prime it… Hope that’s not going to be a problem. Also messed up taking the needle off the pen but the actual injection seemed to go ok.
I think in future I’d prefer to do it on a Friday so there are fewer people going around the house (I don’t want my impressionable daughters to know). Can you dose again in 6 days rather than 7 as a one-off?

@Kilimounjaro I'm exactly the same with my teen dds - don't really want them to know about this because I don't want them to think about weight and stuff at all really.

@DamnedIfIDoDamnedIfIDont could you put the link to the needles you use please? Apologies if you've already put it earlier, I'm getting post-blindness in all these Mounjaro threads!
