@Sewfrickinamazeballs well done!

@SAH07 I'm wondering when that will happen for me - and do you feel like it's a bruise that you've got to poke Smile - almost like making yourself think of food just to see/feel the mental difference in being able to be disinterested?

Fromthesidelines · 13/06/2024 08:53

@daffodilandtulip This is me! Too big portions, finishing everything on the plate, some rich food and wine, eating when I wasn't really hungry. But not binge eating or much in the way of snacking and mostly reasonably healthy and home cooked.
Not quite 3 weeks in and 2.5 not having a massive effect so far though have begun to leave food on the plate. Have lost a small amount but feels mostly down to will power. Hoping mj will enable me to keep going longer than I have managed before. Expecting though a long slow journey.

My absolute goal weight would be 3 stone off but I think even 1 would make me feel better so hopefully 🤞

I still haven't decided when to do the first shot. I don't feel prepared! Currently stuck in over-thinking about supplements and nutrition.

First Weigh in after a week…

SW: 22st 3.6lbs
CW: 21st 12.8lbs
-4.8lb ☺️

I wasn’t expecting to be someone who lost 10lb+ in the first week because I’ve been going to the gym and dieting for a few weeks before this. It’s more than I was expecting though, and I’m shocked at how… easy it’s been!

I haven’t had any major side effects, I do still have my “food noise” so I do need to exert some willpower, but somehow it seems easier to do that?!

I'm still feeling fuller than normal which is great so I will take my second dose this evening, same as the first one. Nobody knows except my DH for now!

Anyone on here not have a gallbladder? I’ve read online it should be ok but I already struggle with acid reflux after 10years of having it removed due to gallstones after I lost 3st over a year with calorie restriction on maternity leave. Of course I’ve now put it all back on with menopause in the last 3yrs.

I had my gall bladder out years ago and my side effects so far have been pretty minimal.

Second week done, weight loss has slowed a lot but I've also had my period. Side effects have been different but still very mild - bit of constipation this time.
Week 1 loss - 6.6lb
Week 2 loss - 1 lb

I don't have a gallbladder and not had any bad side effects so far.
I usually suffer from acid reflux but this has improved for me, probably because my diet is so much better.

sabzino · 13/06/2024 14:39

Second week here

4.7 kgs down another 15kgs to go. Going to move my injection day up as Fridays are always a junk food day and I want to make better choices or smaller portions

I'm also sans gallbladder and have Bile Acid Malabsorption as a result 😵‍💫 - I'm finding that my symptoms are slightly worse on Mounjaro as I am having a few mornings where I go to the loo a lot (which I had previously fixed by taking binding meds, which seem to now not be working as well), but I'm hoping these even out as my body gets used to the drug. Right now it's not bad enough to put me off, especially considering that when I weighed myself this morning I weighed 3100g less than I did when I weighed myself to order the jabs - after just 7 days on Mounjaro 😳

That's the weigh of a newborn baby. I can't believe it really. I had to get on the scales three times to triple check!

Summerslimm · 13/06/2024 17:07

Thanks for the no-gallbladder replies I’m struggling with the acid reflux but trying to ween myself off omezaprazale stuff as I’m aware it’s not good long term and after a year it’s not working much anymore. I’m hoping trying this may help with diet changes. I eat heathly but then eat too sugar in the afternoon/evening undoing all my good stuff in morning when the food chatter noise ramps up- it’s been eye opening reading others struggle with that same brain pattern food noise.

BellaCriesAndThatsAlright · 13/06/2024 17:08

I've been feeling a bit lacklustre all day so I just tried to eat a bigger meal. It was a large chicken breast, roasted courgette and some broccoli. I left some of the chicken and I feel totally full and a bit sick. Normally, I would eat about three times that amount and still snack later!

Lastchancefatty · 13/06/2024 17:21

Just injected for the first time! I'm trembling as I'm a big baby but it was fine. So now I'm officially injected and starting my mounjaro journey. Lots to lose so I'll be here a while!

Loads to lose here too, v envious of people who have about half as much as me to lose!

CoastalCalm · 13/06/2024 18:19

in my second week , today I’ve spent 6 hours in the car today and that would normally have meant services for snacks but had none at all - that’s a huge step forward for me

I could do with dropping at least 100lbs probably 120 really. How about you?

We have the same start weight! I first injected today

norfolkbroadd · 13/06/2024 18:29

Same here @Lastchancefatty - currently size 24. I would be happy to get to size 18, but my goal is size 14. Not focusing hugely on the amount of pounds, as I just want to feel better.

norfolkbroadd · 13/06/2024 18:31

I just took my kids to get McDonalds and I could only manage half of small portion of fries and a small diet Fanta. I feel absolutely stuffed to the gills now too. 🤢

OrangeWire · 13/06/2024 18:52

@norfolkbroadd @Lastchancefatty i feel the same as well, I’m practically going to be a lifer 😂 I’m a size 22, a size 14 looks good on me because I’m tall and broad, it would be a dream come true to get there but for now I’m aiming for an 18!

Anyone get rejected by medexpress? They have asked for another photo which I’ve supplied but still saying reviewing I’ve a bmi32 definitely meet the criteria I was thinking maybe I don’t look fat enough 🤣I’m so unsure whether to do it but need to do something to stop my ever expanding belly thanks to menopause hell and just wanted to get on with it before I talk myself out of it again and now I’m still being “reviewed” by medexpress

I had to send my ID again as my driving licence wasn’t clear, I did my photo in underwear at BMI 30 and was accepted, I do look shit in my underwear 😀
