I'm fine, just moaning! I've not been eating much and haven't been hungry all week, so eventually it'll go, I know it.

vikingpooboat · 07/06/2024 14:51

I've taken my 2nd jab a day early as I've got tomorrow off work in case I get any dodgy side effects. 1st week has been great tbh except a bit of blockage of the old bowels but I am coeliac so that's pretty normal for me 🤣 I weighed on Wednesday and have gone from 13st 4 to 12st 9 and have stayed at that for the rest of the week. Hoping the 2nd jab works as well 😅

Im considering moving my jab day to Friday. Fridays is the worst day for food for me. I'll try next week and see. Final stats is 2.9kg in a week. Appetite suppressed until day 5. Only this morning did the old digestive tract slow up. Need to up my fibre intake

GoingforitJune24 · 07/06/2024 21:29

Well done to all those who have made it through their first week already! I'm a few days behind so day 4 for me but looking forward to getting on the scales early next week.

I ran our usual PTA cake stall this afternoon and it is the first time ever I was not interested in having a bun! It was hard to describe, almost like when I looked at them, I literally 'felt' NOTHING. I could have been looking at a non-edible item! So strange!

No unwanted side effects yet (hope it stays this way!) and please to say no food noise, appetite suppression has maintained since day 1, and I'm full with only small amounts. Will be interesting to see what day 5-7 bring!

Newme24 · 08/06/2024 07:17

Morning all. It's been a week now since my first ever 2.5 jab. What a week. I don't understand how I'm no longer picking and snacking & constantly thinking of food, even up until today. @MILTOBE I'm sorry your scales haven't been kind to you yet. I'm sure it must be coming. Did you take any measurements? Or pics? It's so bloody frustrating when you're doing everything right and it's not showing. I'm hoping you get a good loss soon. Do you feel any better? I can't believe how good I'm feeling. Could all be in my head but so far I've just felt so much better and happier and have a lot more energy. Could be all the no crap food!

So SW 15st 6lbs
1st 15st

Really hoping to be in that 14 bracket next Saturday 🤞 although period due this week so we shall see how well the meds deal with that 😅

Most days I've had a coffee in morning and only water through the day. One glass has added electrolytes. I've done 2 30 min runs this week hoping to get a third in this weekend.

Sat - slimming world fry up
Sun - slimming world style roast chicken dinner
Mon - nasi goering
Tue - spag Bol
Wed - chicken and noodle veg stir fry
Thur - tapas with one wine (booked for a while)
Fri - takeaway curry (Fri night is always takeaway night as we all get home late after 8pm)

Each day I've had a slim protein bagel, a mini pepperoni & a light babybel. I used to be addicted to Coke Zero but only had one this week with my curry Friday and it took me ages to drink it.

Heading out at lunchtime for an important football match miles away and taking people in the car. So I'm going to do my jab when I get back later this afternoon. Don't want to feel rough even though I didn't last time. Who knows this time.

Goodluck to everyone weighing in today. 🤞

LiveLoveLifeForever · 08/06/2024 08:59

So week one and 7lb down, no major side effects and ready for week 2. Hopping everyone else had a good week/ having a good week too!!

Week 1 done - 3.4kg lost
To be fair with the amount I have to lose that is a very small drop in the ocean.
I have never been able to turn off the food noise like this, and I mean ever, even as a child when I was stick thin/underweight I was usually hungry with a very sweet tooth.
Week 2 for me is all about what I eat, challenging myself to find high-protein meals that I enjoy. I know I have to change my eating habits, but I am also realistic and know that I am not going to suddenly like foods that I have avoided for over 50 years. The good news is I love fish and green veg.

Just tried some high-protein plain yoghurt with Blueberries and couldn't eat it, I wasn't hungry in the first place, but I am off out all day so thought I should try and eat. Tomorrow I will try using the yoghurt in overnight oats or stir into porridge. Next up is lunch out and the menu doesn't look great, so I guess I'll just be picking at the food on my plate.

JomonotFomo · 08/06/2024 09:29

Second jab done. I ballsed it up because it takes sooo long to inject compared to saxenda I wasn’t looking and the needle had accidentally come out!! I hope it wasn’t too much lost! I am aiming to inject on Friday evening next week anyway.

SW 15st12lb
CW 15st1lb

so a whopping loss. My typical meals have been either:

porridge and fruit or granola and fruit and fat free Greek yogurt for breakfast

lunch: protein and salad or small ham sandwich plus apple

after school snack: unsalted nuts

dinner: protein, salad and brown rice or new potatoes.

I’ve also found I’ve not craved alcohol so I imagine that’s why my loss was good as prior to starting I was drinking most nights. Interestingly my caffeine intake is well down too. I would have drunk 8-10 cups a day and it’s halved this week.

Well done everyone for getting through the week!

coffeandteav · 08/06/2024 09:36

Week 1 complete.

Gone from 15.8 to 15. So 8lbs in a week.

My stomach hasn't grumbled once. I do feel a bit weak like I am intermittent fasting without the extreme hunger. It's crazy.

Well done everyone on your losses this week.

Jabbed last night, felt a little sick and couldn't sleep.

Husband does the injection for me he read to do It slowly. I can feel it hurts a bit but not too bad just uncomfortable.

HalebiHabibti · 08/06/2024 09:38

I'm starting Monday and keen to see how it goes. One question - not eating is usually a migraine trigger for me. Has anyone got the same problem? If so, how has Mounjaro impacted on migraines? Do you still get them?

sabzino · 08/06/2024 10:40

@HalebiHabibti I don't think the idea is not eating, more not mindlessly eating...snacks and over eating etc

GoingforitJune24 · 08/06/2024 11:41

Can I ask what brand electrolytes everyone is taking? I'm picking some up today as I'm feeling drained/tired and hoping they might help!

Foxlover46 · 08/06/2024 11:59

Hey all
That's some great first week losses on here , I started week two Thursday evening but couldn't weigh as my scales were buggered but have ordered a new set coming tomorrow.
I didn't get any headaches first week , the best thing I felt was not feeling constantly snacky , I would snack all day on and off especially on crisps.
Still drinking a lot of black coffee and Pepsi max every day , weird thing I've noticed is I have baggy hooded eyes and I swear they look a lot tighter the past two days

LaurieFairyCake · 08/06/2024 13:16

Day 6 for me

Hungry suddenly, first grumbling tummy of the week. Ate more today in the first 3 hours than any other WHOLE day

Not bothered though, eating intuitively

I've had a sourdough crumpet with peanut butter, half a bag of nuts, banana and walnut bread Grin

Wonder what my first loss will be on Monday morning Grin you've all got such great ones

Foxlover46 · 08/06/2024 13:43

@LaurieFairyCake I found I was hungry end of the day 5 and then day 6 so I wonder if that's when the effects really reduce

ASDmumma987 · 08/06/2024 14:09

Hi everyone, I'm so glad I found this thread.
I bit the bullet and started mounjaro last Tuesday 4th June so I'm a super Newby. 1st few days, my neck and upper back felt so bruised, couldn't really sleep either. However, appetite suppression was pretty much within 24 hours, I'm struggling to eat anything. The thought of food is making me feel ill. Another strange side effect which I'm most thankful for is I can't bare to smoke! Literally, I smoke usually 20 a day and I'm having just one with my morning coffee. I can't believe it. Smoking makes me feel like I'm about to vomit.
No other side effects other than feeling unusually cold, so the heating has been on quite alot.

SW 14st 4
GW 10st

I've got a lot to lose, but I'm hoping for some encouragement once I get on the scales on Tuesday. I have everything crossed.

Can anyone share what they have lost in their first 4 weeks of the 2.5mg dose please? I know everyone is different but just looking to see everyone else's experiences xx

NiceUnusualDifferent · 08/06/2024 14:33

First jab early this morning, ate breakfast a couple of hours later, just some fruit, yoghurt and flaked almonds. Felt very full afterwards and still feel full, nipped to the supermarket and was weird not fancying anything.
Sw 14st 10.4lbs
GW 10st 7lbs

coffeandteav · 08/06/2024 16:11

Had my second jab last night and had some scarmbled eggs on toast with Sour dough and avocado.

Feel sick as a dog now. Slight bit of reflux. Fulk to bursting.

vikingpooboat · 08/06/2024 17:31

Day after my 2nd jab and even looking at pictures of food is making me want to be sick 😫 stomach feels like it's churning.

Hi! So far I’ve lost 6 pounds after week 1. 2 pounds at the end of week 2. And another 3 after the third week. So not quite a month yet. 11 pounds so far.

I had the bruised pain feeling and it was awful even my bra straps were causing pain. But it went away within 48 hours x

norfolkbroadd · 08/06/2024 17:35

Not having a great first week, I have a v sore stomach and barely any appetite suppression. In fact I feel more empty than usual. Only on 2.5 pen so maybe I just need to stick it out for a while.

coffeandteav · 08/06/2024 18:04

That is so weird I had a bad shoulder/back tjis week. Though maybe I jarred it somehow as it was only when I moved.

KittenSitten · 08/06/2024 21:11

I had my first jab yesterday.
SW 17.9 st 😭
Just want to get to below 12st. I've always weighed heavy, size 8 clothes at 10st so hopefully 12 will get me to a 12.
Pre diabetic, peri menopausal, and my knees have started to fail.
Bit headachey, swirly stomach but I'm inclined to get that anyway with migraines so possibly not a side effect.

Like others it's the constant food noise that breaks me. Did manage to lose a lot on Alizone 10 years ago but fell pregnant so had to come off. Haven't been able to get the will power since.
No food noise today!

KittenSitten · 08/06/2024 21:28

Oh and I went with Lloyds pharmacy, seemed like a good price and they were fast.
