Mounjaro arriving tomorrow- top tips?

so I finally bit the bullet and ordered it, stepped on the scales and I’m now 20 stone so got about half my body weight to lose. Any tips for using the mounjaro? Where do I inject it, is it easy to do? What are the side effects like? Will I just not feel hungry? I’m always so grumpy when I’m on a diet, I’ve heard this stops the hungry feeling so I’m hoping the grumpiness won’t start. Anything I need to think about before starting?

Well… I’ve not noticed much of a difference on 2.5mg. I took 3rd injection yesterday so have one left next Saturday then I’ll order 5mg. But I have lost 7lbs which is good as I was gaining!!!

I’ve not noticed a lack of appetite but I have noticed what happens if I eat fatty food….dear lord

I ordered from Asda. Not due to weigh again until Friday so avoiding the scales until then :)

Just did my first injection. Kept seeing that it was a good idea to take it before you go to bed so that any immediate side effects you sleep through. Feeling nervous as hell.

Well I've had a strange 24/36 hours after my first jab. My main complaint is a stomach ache . No nausea or bowel issues but just a constant stomach ache. Apparently it's one of the common side effects but it's not nice. I'm really hoping it passes over soon. Anyone else have experience this when they first started it? I've also been cold particularly my feet.

It's almost 48 hours since I took my first dose. I had quite bad stomach pain when I went to bed last night, I'm pretty sure it was trapped wind! My gurgling stomach woke me up this morning, but have felt fine since. Just having some electrolytes now, as I've read they help with symptoms.

Yes I've ordered some electrolytes from Amazon they arrive tomorrow so will be making that part of my daily routine.

I’ve been using it for 6 weeks. Has made dieting so much easier. No side effects except some constipation

I have been on it three weeks. I've lost around 10lbs, but not really showing and don't feel much slimmer, but feel better than I did when I started weight wise.

I never got constipated before, but I take senna now which helps. I can imagine it would be bad if you normally have it regularly.

Don't underestimate the effects of the meds if your appetite comes back - it still slows digestion. I went out for a meal and had a few drink and it all made a reappearance in the early hours! Take it easy food and drink wise.

I am enjoying making good food choices. I eat so much better, and it feels so much more instinctive to eat better. I have an allotment, so I'm really excited about hopefully growing some nice veg this year, which is a bonus too. Veg feels like more of a main event in dinners now, rather than the side part of a meal.

Week one . Had first jab on Saturday evening. Feeling better now after having stomachache for most of the day on Sunday m. Appetite is definitely decreased. I'm concentrating on getting lots of protein in my diet. Aiming for 100-120g a day. Hands feet and face still cold😁. Been drinking lots of water with an electrolyte tablet in one of the glasses. Eating around 1400-1500 calories a day which without the medication would have left me absolutely starving with headaches and obsessing about food but I'm completely satisfied with that amount now. Weigh day is Sunday

Got my 5mg delivered today. Had switched to another provider to take advantage for of a discount code but they lost my evidence of having been prescribed elsewhere. So they ended up refunding me. I went back to who I had used before and had a discount for them. I had to pay £20 more than the other one, BUT they dispensed it same day and it arrived this morning. So I had a faff but it’s not late.

Injected 5mg a few hours ago so will see how this feels. Didn’t have side effects from 2.5mg beyond needing to “run” to the toilet. Not sure what to expect from 5mg. Started March 14th, am 12lbs down.

I started last night. Ive got the burps this morning. Nothing too bad but not pleasant either. What apps do you use on an iPhone to keep track of your weight?
