Anymore 2024 brides! Where are you with your planning

5 days to go! I am finished with work and this week is all about the wedding. My cousin has already landed from Australia. My fiancé’s cousin’s are flying from the US tonight. I had my fringe trimmed yesterday. It’s happening!

I've done exactly the same! When I finalised the guest list we, in my head had 60-70. We actually have 95! And so far every one has rsvp's yet! So 70 guests are a definite! Another month until the rsvp date yet 😂

I've paid wedding rings off this month and arranged delivery.

Started the grooms end best man gift bags

Changed my bridesmaid dresses

And paid £2000 off the venue.

I'm cramming in overtime atm!

future husband is finally home this week after 3 months away!

What do you all think of the title 'Matron of Honour?' I should have thought about this before now because I've an appointment with the printers to get my orders of service made up tomorrow 🤦‍♀️ My sister is in the role and she is married so I know it's supposed to be matron rather than maid or chief bridesmaid, but does matron not make her sound really old? It seems like an old fashioned title, not very flattering. Is it still used these days?

@MessyNeate my first fitting isn't until the first week of August and I get married 7 Sept!

My first sitting is 22nd July.

Lots of bridal stores are going bust near me! So I felt safer having it with me! DP is away at sea now until August so he won't see it x
